Chapter 19.

The door swung open as Adam slowly walked in. He was being careful. Any number of things could attack him. And he could be outnumbered. Or even outmatched. A sense of fear rushed over him. His hands became sweaty and he got a tingle down his spine. He decided to look around the area.

It was a small cabin. The floor was made of some unknown material, it was almost like concrete, except it was much smoother and more of a light blue colour. The walls were made of the same material as well. There was two windows on either side of the building, to Adam's left and right, and they were also of a strange design. Triangle shaped windows with some kind of golden window sill around it. There was a single chair and table in the middle of the room. Both made of some kind of wood, presumably the same kind as the trees in the forest, and fashioned in some unknown style. Near the right side window was a bed. It was made in the same style as the table and chair. In front of him was a worktop and cupboards.

"Well this place looks quite fancy, for a cabin." Observed Adam, as he sat down. It was the first time since he'd arrived that he had some time to himself. To think. He started to run through everything he knew about the current world.

There were creatures, animals, that were unlike any he had seen in his world. They may or may not be evolved from creatures in his time. There were also small people, The Angels, who were very interesting. They looked humanoid but were much small than average humans and had white skin. They also seemed to be afraid of the outside world. He also had not seen any humans like him anywhere.

He thought about that piece of information carefully. There seemed to be no humans but, clearly, humans existed. The temple and this cabin seemed to be proof of that. But where were they? Had they been destroyed somehow? If they had then why was there no proof of a war or confrontation? All these questions puzzled Adam. But, he couldn't shake the feeling that the answer would be back at the temple.

And then there was that creature that grabbed Luna. What was it and why did it grab her? It seemed to be an underground creature of some sort. But Adam knew not what it was. It was obviously dangerous.

"I may have to go down there and find out." He said to himself, as he walked over to the door and shut it. He then walked over to the bed and lay down on it. He decided he needed to rest before anything else happened. And then he fell asleep.
