Talking Through Time

Part 20.

Chapter 20.

 The moon was shining in the clear night sky. The creatures of the night roamed outside the cabin, living and fighting as they did. The world outside seemed dark and frightening. Very unfriendly to new eyes and especially to someone like Adam.

  Adam was asleep on the bed inside the cabin. He lay with his body rolled on to his left side, his hands by his side as he slept. He was sleeping peacefully. Almost.

  His dream was different. In it he stood in front of the temple. The one here in this future he was in. But the temple looked brand new, like it had just been built. He saw many people going in and out of it. They looked like monks. They wore robes that were the same colour as the temple itself. He turned around and saw another building off in the distance. This one looked different though, it looked sinister. It looked almost like a factory of some kind.

 Out of the factory came workers. They looked unhappy, the opposite of the temple goers. Each wore red work suits, almost like dungaree's and walked over to the temple folk. Suddenly a fight broke out. Punches were flying as people were being kicked in the head. Suddenly the police arrived and split them apart. One of the workers jumped onto a wall and shouted.

  "You temple people are the enemy! We are the great ones! We shall destroy you!" He shouted his message to anyone who would listen. He was soon dragged off.

   Adam awoke with a start. Shaking, he climbed out of bed. He was confused. What was that dream all about? Was it some kind of message? And what was it even telling him? More question were piling up and Adam was starting to feel frustrated. He punched the wall in anger, bruising his left hand in the process.

  "Was that dream from the temple? Or was it from the land?" he asked himself, as he kissed his hand better, "Maybe I should go back there in the morning." He started to think about what he could do, but he had no time think.

  The door to the cabin suddenly swung open. And a hairy creature stood in the doorway. It smiled at Adam.
