Chapter 23.
The creature stood up and began to walk towards the door. Adam got up and stood in front of the doorway. He was not going to let him leave without getting an answer.
"When did the war start!?" He asked, sternly. He held his arms out beside him, and he stood like a cross. He was waiting.
The creature just pushed him aside and began to walk away. He stopped just outside the door and turned around, "I honestly do not remember." He answered, with regret in his voice and on his face, "But you may find the answer in the temple. That might be the best solution. Good luck" After he spoke those words, he walked in to the forest and out of sight. He was gone a minute later.
Adam shut the door and walked over to the bed. His head was swirling with both new answers, and more importantly, new questions. Most of it involved this war.
The war started because of differences, that was clear. But who started it? He knew it was the worker people but he wanted to know which individual, or individuals, it was. There should be a history book somewhere with that information. He also knew that the special weapon that was used near the end of the war changed people. He wondered if the Angels were a part of that change.
But did they know about the war? Maybe they grew up in a time after the war. They may have only known about it through stories, and therefore, may not actually know anything about it.
He now had some idea of where the humans were, or at least, where they might have gone. But until he knew when the Formation War actually started, he had nothing to go on. At least nothing concrete anyway.
He soon made a decision, an important one. In the morning he would go back to the temple and try find answers. He did wonder if the Angels, or their leader, would be happy with him coming back to the area. But he needed to find some answers. And he was going to get them at the temple.
