Chapter 42.
The battle was underway. Adam stood silently, waiting, The two guards were also stood in silence as well. All three of them were waiting for one of the others to make a move. They watched each other. If one of them twitched, even for a moment, that would be the cue to attack.
"Right, my plan isn't working so far. Not good." Thought Adam, as he assessed the situation. He was slow. He was at a disadvantage because, unlike the guards, he had not trained in any kind of fighting styles. He was given the opportunity to learn Judo when he was eleven years old. He declined because it would hurt him. Now he was regretting that decision. He made a mental not to sign up to the local martial arts club when he got back home. He realised it could be useful.
The first guard decided to strike first. He turned around and stabbed his friend in the head, killing him. Blood sprayed from the other guards head. It splashed on the walls and the other guards face. He smiled, pleased with the result. He then turned his attentions to Adam, after he picked up the other sword from the floor.
"What did you just do?!" Yelled Adam, "He was on your side! And you...killed him!" Rage hit Adam hard. He didn't like anyone killing of their own men. He hoped they would have loyalty to one another.
The guard just smiled a bit, his face still covered in blood, "I didn't want him to get the kill." He said, almost casually, "I'll kill you and get the reward. I'll just say that you killed him and then i killed you. Nothing wrong with that." He shrugged his shoulders, "By the way, seen as you are going to die, i'll tell you my name. My name is Turnerfield. And that is the last name you will ever hear." He rushed towards his opponent.
