Chapter 32.

Adam shielded his eyes from the light. It was bright and unexpected. He stood in one spot and blinked as he let his eyes adjust to the brightness. What new things would he see? He also wondered what sort of creatures would live down here and, more importantly, where Luna was.

He blinked, as his vision came back to him. What stood before him shocked him. It was probably the most shocking thing he had seen in the future, since the death of the Angels anyway.

Before him stood a small village. The village was little up by a large bonfire in the middle of the village, like a monument. The buildings were all made out of black stone. He imagined it was some kind of caveman settlement, even though logically he knew that was wrong. There were street like paths that led to different parts of the underground.

"What is this place?" He asked himself, as he kid behind a rock, "So, these creatures have some kind of civilisation? How is that possible?" He peered over from behind the rock to see if he could find any clues to Luna's location.

Nothing. There seemed to be no people, or creatures, in the area. No one. For some kind of settlement there was no one in the area. It didn't make any sense.

"Where is everyone?" Adam pondered, as he began to sneak slowly to the buildings. He wasn't sure what to expect. All he knew was he had to find answers.

He got to the first building on the right. It had a metallic door. He touched it, slowly. It was definetly of some kind of metal, but it was not hot.  That did not make sense. He shrugged it off and slowly opened the door, knowing full well he was breaking in to someone's home.

He opened the door. Not knowing if anyone was on the other side, or what he would find. He crossed his fingers in hope.
