Chapter 45.
Adam started running as fast as he could. Checking down every tunnel he could. Each one was as dark and confusing as the last. He was lost. Each way looked exactly the same as the last. He assumed it was on purpose. Make it so no one could escape the underground. They would get lost and either get killed or captured again. Or just die from starvation.
He turned left and the tunnel looked different. The rocks had a blue tinge to them and they were almost wavey in shape and design. It looked like a good direction to go in, and so, he did with great speed. He ran down the hall and wondered what was down this path. Was it a new enemy? or was it a way to find Luna? Or maybe it was a new trap to try kill him. It could be anything, and he knew it.
He came to a corner and stopped. He pressed himself against the wall and peaked around the corner. There was no one. No guards or any form of weaponry in the area. He sighed in relief. After the battle he had with the guards, and the injury he sustained, this seemed a lot easier.
"We'll maybe life is being kind to me now." Thought Adam, as he scratched his head. He looked around for any dangers. He wasn't stupid. Even if it looked safe, it just might be hidden dangers. And he knew it would be silly to drop his guard considering where he was.
He slowly walked forward, accidently stepping on a button. A clunk noise was heard and then, without warning, spikes appeared from the ground. They were at least a foot long. He noticed they were too far too jump across.
He had to find a way to get past them.
