Each one of the main four EW boys symbolize a type of card/suit. Edd ≈ Clovers, Tord ≈ Hearts, Tom ≈ Spades, and Matt ≈ Diamonds. Due to this, all of them have their respective suit imprinted somewhere on their body that stands out for that. Each of their "imprints" works out like a kind of seal in order to keep the males contained, however Edd's "seal" is kinda iffy, and hides the fact that sometimes he can't control what happens once it breaks, but he keeps that hidden away from the others, even Tomas in order to protect them. Somehow they are managing to live more human lives despite being more in-human, but can they keep it that way?
