"Thank God, you're here! Its already quarter to eight."
"Sorry po talaga Achi Sheena." Sabi ko habang kinukuha si Cinnamon sa passenger sit.
"Oh my, wait. What happened to you? Your hair. What did you do? Where is my conservative cousin?" She asked while scrutinizing my look.
"Who did this to you?!"
"OA ka na Achi. Come on. I'm already super duper late. Pupunta lang ako ng kuwarto to change my outfit." Sabi ko. Hindi kasi ako comfortable sa suot ko.
"No! Let's go. Kanina pa sila naghihintay." She insist.
"Happy birthday Achi Shen!" Sabay na sabi ng pinsan kong kambal.
"Thank you, Mel and May. Ang ku-cute niyo talaga!" Nang-gigil kong pisil sa kay Mel. Ang chubby kasi nila.
"Ahhh! Mommy!" Umiiyak na sabi ni, wait... si May ang pinisil ko? Oh, ohh!
"Baby, what happen? Nadapa ka ba? Tell to Mommy." Nag-aalalang bungad ni Tita Sue.
Lagot. Anong ginawa ko?
"Ha-hi Tita Sue." Bati ko dito sabay v-sign with pity eyes. Hindi niya kasi ako napansin dahil busy siya sa pagpapatahan kay May.
"Xershyle? How many times I told you, the one who has birth mark on right hand is May. Si Mel yung wala." Sabi niya. Reminding me, you did something wrong. Ang tagal pa namang patigilin ni May. What I have done?
"What happened to my Princess May? Who's the fine lady you talking with Chapseuy?" Tito Xerl asked Tita Sue kaya napalingon ako dito.
"Wow! This is your greatest transformation niece. Your a fine lady now. Muntikan na kitang hindi makilala. By the way congrats and best wishes." I accept his hand to shake hand with him.
Huh? Pardon? Anong sinasabi ni Tito Xerl? Weird.
"Xershyle, Tito Xerl, Tita Sue tara na po. Hinihintay na po tayo nila sa dining room."
Papasok palang kami sa dining area, napansin kong it is very crowded.
Andami naman ata ng family namin ngayon? May ipinanganak bang kamag-anak ko na hindi ko nalalaman? Eh sa pagkakatanda ko, in my father's side tatlo lang silang mag-kakapatid. May tig-dadalawa rin silang mga anak. Idagdag pa ang grandparents and parents ko plus si Yuan, dapat 13 lang sila dito kasama na sa bilang sina Tito Xerl, Tita Sue, Mel, May at Achi Sheena maliban sa akin.
But how come the long dining table is almost occupied? Hindi ko kasi makita kung sino-sino ang nakaupo dahil sa nakatalikod ang labing apat na upuan sa akin though my apat na vacant sit pa. Base sa mga likod nila, inuupuan ito ng bata, matanda, dalaga at binata. Wala rin si Ahma, Angkong, Mama, Papa at Yuan sa mga upuan dahil kahit nakatalikod sila, I can identify them.
"Ate Ian!" Excited na turan ng dalagita sabay yakap sa akin. I didn't expect to see her here. "You look so pretty. Don't tell me, you still didn't recognized me huh? Haist, di bale na nga. You're so elegant. I feel so sorry tuloy. Naalala ko noon ng JS prom niyo ni Kuya. You look so stunning! Kuya so tense that time you hold his hand--"
"Sophia Olive Cornejo." Saway dito ng isang babae na nasa mid-forty.
"Sorry Mom. I'm just carried away about the situation." She said with the sad tone.
"Sorry everyone, na miss lang ni Sofia ang Ate Ian niya. By the way Hija, happy birthday! You're Tito Steve and I, wishes you good health and the best. I'm sure Oliver want you to be in good hand. We missed you Hija." Tita Pricilla embraced me.
Nagsilingunan na rin yung ibang nakatalikod na naka-upo to see my presence except with one man. What is his problem? Ang panget ko ba, para nanghihinayang siyang lingunin ako? If he is my cousin or relatives talagang mababatukan ko to. I'm not a bitch, but I hope he shows some respect.
