BACK TO EACH OTHER ARMS

Chapter Forty.

Three days have been passed, After i came back home. I didn't realize i been home all day. I feel like i wanted to go back to work. Even Dad told me no need for me to go back for now. But i'm starting to miss being busy, not just with my kids, but the work i left in the office. Ayoko naman na matambakan ako ng sobrang trabaho. I am not into rushing so many things i left in my office. Thats why i decide to work today.

I am now in the elevator going to my office. I know Dad will be suprised that i didn't follow him but, i really wanted to get back to work. When the elevator get to y destination. Everyone was being suprised that i am back.

Halos hindi sila makapaniwala na bumalik na ako sa trabaho. Maybe they all notice my absence from my job.

"Miss Ally?"

"Yes Lala. I am back."

"But i thought you--"

"Can you please get me my coffee. And give me the updates of what i missed. Thanks."

"Okay Miss Ally."

Agad ako pumasok sa office ko after that.

"I did miss this room."

Sambit ko sa aking sarili habang binibuksan ang aking laptop. Agad ko din binuksan ang drawer ng kabinet ko. Para sana kunin ang mga report na inilagay ko doon. Nang mapansin ko na bumukas ang pintuan. Hindi ko naman iyon pinansin dahil ang akala ko ay si Lala lang iyon.

"So you're back at work?"

Agad naman akong napaangat ng tingin ng marinig ko ang pamilyar na boses na iyon. At tama nga ang naiisip ko. It was Lance. Pero ang ipinagtataka ko ay bakit andito siya sa opisina ko.

"Y-you're here? I mean what are you doing here."

But before he could answer my question. I saw Dad entering in my office with Lala. I get really confused on what's happening.

"Miss Ally, here's your coffee."

"Thanks Lala."

Pagkatapos maibigay ni Lala ang kape ko ay agad na itong lumabas. Pero napansin ko naman na tumingin muna ito kay Lance at nagngitian sila. I can't help but to look at them with an evil look. I don't understand why i did that but to be honest, i get irritated with that.

"I thought you will be not working today Ally."

"Sorry Dad. I just being worried about having a too much work load."

"But are you sure you'll be fine working today?"

"Yeah Dad. I'm perfectly fine."

"Good. Coz we need to discuss something with Mr. Anderson."

Agad naman akong napatingin sa gawi ni Lance. At nahagip nang mata ko ang malaking ngiti niya. Mukhang may hindi ako alam sa nangyayari.

"As you can see Ally, Mr. Anderson is working with us since last week."

Halos maibuga ko naman ang kapeng ininum ko ng marinig ang sinabi ni Dad.
