BACK TO EACH OTHER ARMS

Chapter Forty Two.

I am still not on myself sice i came back from that lunch. Hindi kasi nawala sa isip ko ang nasabi ni Lance. And knowing he was right. I really feel guilty about what i done. But i don't know what to do.

Tayo-upo ang ginawa ko sa aking swivel chair. Wala talaga ako sa sarili. Hindi ko rin mahanap sa aking isipan ang dapat kong gawin. Kaya napabuntong hininga nalang ako. At napatingin agad ako ng marinig kong bumukas ang pintuan.

I thought it was him.

"Miss Ally. Here's the documents need to be signed by you."

"Just left it here."

I wanted to ask her about what happen in the restaurant i sent her earlier. But i feel weird to do that.

"Okay Miss Ally, i just call me when you finish sign it."

"No, you can wait here. Have a sit first."

"But Miss--"

"Just do it what i said."

"Okay Miss Ally."

I see that this is my chance to know what happen. Kaya kahit nag-aalinlangan ako ay nagtanong ako sa kanya.

"A-about the meeting earlier. i'm sorry i didn't make it."

Napansin kong medyo namula si Lala ng masabi ko iyon.

"No, Miss Ally, it was fine. I understand. Beside Mr. Anderson left the restaurant after a phone call."

"I see. Did he said anything?"

"Nothing much aside from he let me have lunch there before i went back here."

"Okay."

I don't understand but i feel a bit annoyed from what i am hearing from her. Coz i saw how she smile so much knowing Lance let her have lunch there. And i bet Lance order the very special menu for her.

"I'm done. You can take all this."

"Thank you Miss Ally.

"What for?"

"For the Lunch Miss Ally."

"I'm not the one who payed your lunch, so why you thank me?"

"Because if you didn't send me there i will never experience those delicious and expensive foods."

Hindi ko alam kung bakit biglang naking madaldal si Lala, and the way she comfortably talking to me like that. I get curious about it and also get irritated.

"Anyway, you should not thank me. You better thank the one that treats you lunch. Not me. You can leave now."

Napansin ko kung paano nawala ang ngiti niya ng putulin ko ang kwento niya at medyo naging matigas ang boses ko ng sabihin ko iyon.

"I'm sorry Miss Ally. I think I over--"

"It's fine, just go back to your work, coz i have more works to do."

Hindi na siya sumagot bukod sa pagtango at lumabas na siya.

Nakatingin lang ako sa nilabasan niya. I really get annoyed from her story. I am really surprised knowing she can be that talkative. And seeing that she has a crush on Lance the way she smile and her body language. I am sure she likes him.
