BACK TO EACH OTHER ARMS

Chapter Forty One.

After those big surprises i got this morning. I can't still figure it out what to do. Halos hindi gumagana ang utak ko. I can't even do my job properly.

How could this happen. I really don't understand.

"Miss Ally."

Napapitlag naman ako ng marinig ang boses ni Lala na nasa may pintuan.

"What's the matter?"

"You actually got a phone call on line two. And it was been waiting for you for so long."

"WHAT?"

Halos napalakas ang pagsabi ko ng iyon. Kaya medyo nagulat din si Lala.

"I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean that. Anyway. I'll answer it."

Agad kong hinawakan ang telepono at pinindot ang line two. Hindi ko narin narinig na nagsalita si Lala bago ito umalis.

"I'm sorry for waiting you so long, anyway, who's on the line please?"

"Yeah, i've been calling you so many times. but you didn't answer. So i decide to call your secretary to put me on the line, so i could talk to you."

Nakaramdam naman ako ng pag-irita ng mabosesan ko ang nasa kabilang linya.

"Mr. Anderson."

"Yes. Miss Watson."

Anu pa ba ang kailangan nitong tao na 'to!

"What can i help you Mr. Anderson?"

"Actually Miss Watson. I'd like to talk about the project we will be working on together, over a lunch today, If you don't mind. And I heard theres a good restaurant three blocks away from here. So meet you there in ten minutes."

Hindi pa man ako nakakasagot sa sinabi niya ay binabaan na niya ako ng tawag. Kaya naman halos naibagsak ko ng di kalakasan ang telepono ng marinig kong ibinaba niya ang tawag.

That guy. He's getting to my nerve.

Agad kong tinawagan si Lala to ask if i got any schedule for before and after lunch today. And i am really surprised when she said i got a lunch meeting with Lance. So it means he already plan this before he calls me.

Napahawi nalang ako sa buhok ko sa pagkainis. And also to think that i am working with him. It makes me feel so bad. And knowing i couldn't do anything about it just to do it. And accept it.

I grab my bag and walks out from my office. But i stop in front of Lala. Coz something came up to my mind.

"Lala, remember the restaurant three blocks away from here."

"Yes Miss Ally."

"Will you go there now and wait for me. I'd like to have lunch with you. You like it or not."

I can see how she was shocked on what i said. I can see how she wanted to say no. But i look at her like she don't have a choice.

"Okay Miss Ally."

I smile coz i knew my plan will work.

"Good. And if you see Mr. Anderson. Just let him join us on the table you choose. I'll just really need to talk to someone before i go there."
