T'was a typical Saturday morning and I decided to have a jog first. 3 rounds and I'm up. Since that coffee shop 'incident', I already refuse to go there whenever I do jogging. Nakaktrauma. Para akong walking vending machine that time. Hell. Pagdating ko ng bahay, nagpahinga then shower ako. I opened my phone and found one text message from an anon.

Hey bruha! What's up with you now? Missed me, childhood bestfriend? Heh. I know you missed me. No need to ask. So yeah, I'm back and guess I'll see you soon, aright? You better get yourself ready 'coz we've got a lot of catching up to do.

PS. Yeah, hate to break it but I missed you too, bitch. Love you.

Oh my god! I immediately saved her number and replied.

To: Mariel

Great way to say good morning. Good morning too, bitch. I guess I missed you this much, so, uh, later? Glorietta 5. 4PM. Deal?

This girl has always been my second best version. My sister from another gorgeous mother. Yeah, we're this vain. But it's natural since we both lived Cali for years, mas matagal lang siya. I received another text from her saying that it's a deal.

Guess this isn't a boring weekend after all, eh.

Nandito na ako sa G5 tulad ng napagusapan. I fished my phone from my bag ng tumunog ito, nagregister doon ang pangalan ni Mariel.

"Where are you?" tanong ko.

[Yeah, hello too. Meet me at Sb. Going there, bye.] sagot niya ang binaba ang phone. Tch, bruha talaga.

So I went at Sb and found her beside the glass wall.

"Hoy bruha." I calmly approached her.

"OMG!? Sera Loise! I missed you!" same old Mariel. She's been always this energetic and I used to be this energetic to, not until that bastard-Mico broke my heart. I've been distant and all, especially to guys except kuya and dad syempre.

"Hey, no need to exclaim my first names." I said, laughing habang umuupo sa katapat ng chair niya. She also sat down. "So, what's new with you?" sabi ko. She already ordered me my favourite frappe.

"Nothing. Well, except that I became more beautiful. Duh" Vain Mariel, same old. I told myself.

"Yeah, you look more beautiful than last time and uh.. you're blooming!" I exclaimed, amusement all over my face.

"Haha, well that's because of the weather. Kidding aside, ikaw bruha ka gumanda ka lalo. Anong secret mo?" Wala akong secret, si Victoria meron. Gets, anyone?

"Hah, that's because of the weather, too." I replied. Mga baliw lang. Idahilan ba ang weather sa pagiging blooming? Well, weather is natural, just like our beauty.

We continued talking and talking until we decided to go shopping. Yes, this girl beside me is my buddy, in almost everything. Kung may ibbest pa ang Bestfriend, siya yun.

We stopped in every shop we want and have as many shopping bags as we can. When we're totally exhausted, we went to TGIFs for dinner.

Napagdesisyunan na naming umuwi na dalawa. Nagpasundo na lang kami sa driver since we're both tired from today's itinerary. Nang maihatid nila ko, I waved Mariel goodbye with a smile on my face. I'm totally exhausted but it's worth it! I went to my room and went to shower. I'm about to turn off the lampshade nang makitang may nagtext sa akin. I was curious kung sino nanaman ang anon na nagtext. Nang mabasa ko ang text, narinig ko ang tambol sa loob ng dibdib ko. It says..

Good night, Sera. Dream of me. I'll make sure you'll eventually break your rule number one, soon.
