Charlie and I walk inside the house and to my surprise I see a woman I've never seen before. Instantly, Jack doesn't make eye contact with me and Paige tries to avoid Charlie's stare at her. I look at the brunette woman and the moment I see the ring from behind, my heart drops. There's a heavy step that snaps me out of my thoughts and I see Shawn. He looks taken aback, but then his face turns to a glare.

"What's he doing in my house?" I ask, my gaze still upon him.

Paige clears her throat. "Nora and Shawn are gonna stay with us while they're in Chicago."

"Don't you think we should talk about this first?" Jack asks.

"Oh," Shawn nods, walking closer to us, "I'm all for talking."

"Nora, Charlie, would you exc...?" Paige begins but is interrupted by Charlie.

"Oh no, I'm staying, princess." Charlie says as she takes a seat on the couch.

"Babe," Shawn says to Nora, "do you mind going up on the roof? We're just gonna talk about something."

"Sure. I don't mind." Nora says. She stands up and Jack tells her where the roof is. All five of us are silent as we wait for the sound of the roof door closing. It's a heavy door and the sound can't be missed. Once it comes, I'm the first to break the silence.

"He's fucking moving in here?!" I ask.

"Yeah, he is." Paige says to me. "He and his fiancé are moving in."

"Since when do you get to make decisions about the house?" I ask her.

"Why do you care?" Shawn asks me.

"Because I don't want to live with you!" I raise my voice. "I don't want anything to do with you and you're moving in here!"

"What makes you think this has anything to do with you?" Shawn replies.

"Hm, lets see! For starters you have the money for how many other houses here? But you want to move in here? Also, you and I know good and damn well that by you moving in here you can just hurt me again with your presence."

"Why do you even care if he moves in or not?" Paige asks me.

"Why do you want him and her to move in?" Charlie asks as she stands up next to me.

"I was talking to Jasmine." Paige tells her.

"And I'm talking to you. Why do you all of a sudden want to run this house, Paige?" Charlie replies. "Why does Princess Paige Bradley want to be in charge? Is it because by letting in the ex of her friend who hates her, she can punish someone who is supposed to be her best friend for a choice she made over her own body?"

"Why don't you stay out of this Charlie? You clearly don't know what you're talking about." Paige says.

"I know more than you think, Miss Abortion is Murder."

Paige turns to face me and is now fuming. "You told her?"

"Why wouldn't I? I need a friend and it's fucking obvious it's not you!" I say.

"So you go and tell Charlie?!"

"Oh, you sound mad. Is someone upset I didn't go and tell her all about my life? I'm sorry I hurt your wittle feewings. Suck it up." I say.
