Chapter Twenty-Four: New Competition and Confession

At least a week had gone by since the intense battles from before and everyone seemed to be back to normal now as everyone was setting their eyes towards the Vytal Festival coming up. Classes were canceled for this so everyone could be prepared for it, Cu Chulain had gone out to Emerald Forest for a bit of training with Diarmuid. 

Ever since the two met they had begun as friendly rivals, but you couldn't really blame the two since they were both spear users with similar skills and abilities even their spears names were similar Cu Chulain's Gae Bolg and Diarmuid's Gae Buidhe and Gae Dearg. 

You were at the moment on top of the building at the moment, it was 7:59 P.M. and you were at the moment just relaxing, your muscles were still pretty sore in some areas still from the mission but you didn't care. You were able to beat Gilgamesh, Velvet was safe, and you ran into your old friend Artoria who was staying at the academy as well waiting for the Vytal Festival as well. You remembered meeting her other teammates and remembered a hilarious meeting between one of them and Jaune.

~Flashback~

All of you were outside relaxing at the moment, the Vytal Festival was coming up soon and all of you were thinking about plans for what you guys were going to do before the festival while also wondering what was going to be happening there. Team JNPR and RWBY were also asking you questions about your battle with Gilgamesh even asking if you killed him over and over even though you've been telling them you didn't.

Y/N: No I wasn't the one that killed him, an arrow flew past my head and sunk right into his skull.

Ren: So what did you do with the body then?

Y/N:... Was I suppose to do something with it?

Ren: You... Nevermind someone probably disposed of it.

Cu Chulain: I'm still annoyed I wasn't the one who fought that arrogant prick, seriously he was so annoying thinking he was better than everyone like he was on top of the world.

Ruby: Yeah, but at least we won't have to worry about him or Roman Torchwick anymore, he's been arrested.

Rider: Good, I am also glad that all of you were okay during your mission and against all of those Grimm.

Yang: Yeah and it was thanks to JNPR and CFY coming to help us we probably wouldn't have gotten out there in one piece.

Herald: And I heard that Jaune was able to take down an Ursa by himself... I gotta say that's impressive man!

The blonde-haired boy chuckled and rubbed the back of his head hearing this, slightly embarrassed as well.

Jaune: Well, I couldn't have done it without Pyrrha's training.

Y/N: What... But what about my training from before?

Jaune: I mean... Your method was helpful in ways as well... I mean it's just--

Y/N: Jaune, I'm joking it's cool man I'm just glad you're getting better because if we face off in the festival I don't want you to get intimidated by the competition.

Weiss: Yes, especially when team RWBY comes out on top.

Jaune: Excuse me ice queen no, no, no team JNPR will be the one winning the festival.

Herald: You guys are so blind... Its obvious team BRAC is coming out on top of all of this!

Soon an argument started between the three different teams causing most people around to look at you all with confusion while some understood this and others just laughed. You guys were going on for about a few minutes until you guys heard footsteps coming the way this caused you to stop and see Artoria in casual clothing walking towards you all with two other people as well, though Diarmuid was nowhere to be seen.
