Chapter Fifty-Three: The Worst Is Here!

Shaking her head at the foolish sight of Tyrian, having lost his mind from the words of Salem, sure, she was scolded as well. But she was not taking it that heard, she had other thoughts on her mind as she followed Semiramis. She was going to be undergoing an experiment that would grant her even greater strength. Enough strength to destroy Medusa and her friends. Without them having a chance against her.

Gorgon: Are you sure this will make stronger?

Semiramis: Are you doubting my abilities?

Gorgon: I don't know, I haven't been tested on yet, Medusa was the one who was tested upon.

Semiramis: Right, the other you was tested on. Either way, what I have planned for you will make you x100 stronger than those fools.

After following Semiramis for a bit longer Gorgon was inside of what appeared to be some kind of lab. There were multiple test tubes inside with multiple humanoid beings inside of them. Looking at them, she recognized them as a homunculus. Artificial humans, but she noticed one of them looked very similar to Artoria and could sense Salem in that one as well.

Semiramis: That one that you see is Mordred, the homunculus daughter of Artoria and Salem, but that is not important right now it's time for you to undergo Project: Goddess.

Gorgon: Project: Goddess?

Semiramis grinned from the intrigued look on Gorgon's face.

Semiramis: Yes, and once I'm done you'll be as strong as a Goddess!

Gorgon hearing this could only smile as she removed the piece covering her eyes to reveal her face completely to Semiramis.

Gorgon: Well now, shall we begin.

Semiramis smirked before turning away from Gorgon, not telling Gorgon, but this project will not only turn into a "Goddess" but also a monster, a monster so powerful that she might become one of the queen's strongest assistants. Even greater than that fool Cinder.

~Meanwhile~

Everyone had woken to yet another day, everyone was getting their stuff together and were getting their move on. Though you were carrying Medusa on your back, she was still drifting in and out of sleep for the time being witch was worrying you. Fearing this may have been the cause of you for separating her and Gorgon into two beings. The question was though where could she have gone off to now. 

Looking at everyone else, everyone seemed to be focused on getting to their destination. You noticed Qrow was walking much slower compared to everyone else, and you noticed he had been clutching his side as well. Walking for a bit more you noticed he was catching up a bit, but by the looks of it he was pushing himself. It felt as though you guys have only been walking for about an hour or so, but that's when you remembered Qrow was hit by a scorpion faunus tail.

Y/N: Qrow was the stinger you got hit with contained any kind of poison? You're getting slower now?

Qrow: Actually..... I believe so..... Cu Chulain has kept it from spreading by slowing it down, but I think the effects are starting to waver.

Cu Chulain's Thoughts: I feared this would happen after Qrow told me about his Semblance.

Before everyone else got up, Qrow had woken Cu Chulain up and explained to him about his Semblance. Misfortune to be precise. And that the effect Cu Chulain put on his wound may not last as long as the mage said it would. Just as the mage thought of this, Cu Chulain saw Qrow was about collapse and immediately caught him before he hit the ground.
