Chapter Six:
New Orleans

  Even though years had passed with a blink of they eye since Jasper and Lucinda had met, there love was a slow burn, the flames bright but not yet at the fullest potential they can reach. And yet, small enough to be snuffed out.

Alice and William, however, have had sparks flying from day one. Causing the other mated couple with them extremely uncomfortable at any given time where Alice and William share their love publicly.

Even though a storm raged on as the four vampires entered the city of New Orleans, Louisiana, the bolder couple kept displaying public displays of affection as if it was a bright summers day. Following Alice's gift of precognition, hoping to find the coven of which has five vegetarian vampires residing within.

The streets were not as crowded as they usually were, mainly due to the pouring rain but also there was a sense of ominous beings in the air.

  The only reason they sat in a bar was due to the fact that Lucinda thought that showing up at somebody's home and saying that they wished to join their family was extremely rude and made it forbidden to do that. All the while the boys stayed out of the heated argument, smirking as Alice did not see that Lucinda would win.

The bat of which they entered only an hour ago was called 'Rousseau's.' A sense of da ja vu falls over the four vampires. The peaceful silence is brought to the end by Alice speaking to no one in particular, "One minute."

Jasper griped Lucinda's waist, keeping her close, reassuring himself that she was close and safe. He felt he fear and calmed her as a bottle of bourbon started to lift. This was not a rare occurrence. However, the fear that Lucinda felt was not of the new coven but of herself, she couldn't control her power. The manipulator felt as of she was a danger, especially with her temper.

The bell above the entrance rang, signalling new customers. Three people entered, all extremely beautiful in their own ways.

The first was a blond male, his topaz eyes matched the ones Lucinda bore, clear evidence of the 'vegetarian diet' which Alice brought upon the three vampires of which she traveled with.

Next was a woman who look motherly and kind. Wisdom etched onto eyes, like she had seen horrors in her time. She had the same pale, beautiful features as the rest of them. Something about her heart-shaped face, her billows of soft, caramel colored hair flowed flawlessly. She was small, slender, yet less angular, more rounded than the others.

And lastly was a golden haired boy who looked no older than seventeen. His jawline made him seem so model like and yet his eyes hold the familiar, to Lucinda at least, look of loneliness.

The three new customers sat down at a table which was placed by the window. Alice was the first to stand, William at her side as they walked, or in Alice's case skipped, over to the three vampires in the corner. Once again, Jasper and Lucinda shared a look before following behind the pair.

"It'll be fine 'Cinda," Jasper whispered into his mate's ear, giving it a kiss after, "probably. But trust Alice for once."

Sitting down, Alice continued introduced the pair, "and this is Jasper and Luci. You two, meet Carlisle, his mate Esme and their adoptive son, Edward."

"Hi I am Lucinda, but also known as Luci." The brunette introduced herself as Jasper shook the other vampires hands.

"Jasper." The honey-blond haired man introduced. As Alice dove into conversation with Carlisle, explaining the past which lead her here, to her future.
