Chapter 7
Rosalie and EmmettThe Cullen family household was spectacular, modern as can be. The latest technology was in every room, being brought by the immortal doctor's everlasting, or so it seems, pay-checks.
Bright colours of red, yellow and blue were plastered into the well decorated walls. Jasper and Lucinda had yet to fully adjust to the technology of today, especially since being under Maria's thumb for so long.
At first, Lucinda refused to touch 'the box thing with the knobs' thinking it was an alien product that shouldn't belong in a home. Eventually, with a lot if persuading (and Jasper's gift, which received a glare from Lucinda) she watched an episode of whatever was on one of the four channels.
"Why are the pictures movin'?"She asked. Never before has she ever been so stumped by a painting, "and talkin'?Pictures don't talk."
Edward chuckled at her question, "Luci it's a television, it tells a-".He went to talk but was cut if by a light thump in the garden, near the peonies that Lucinda admired greatly.
After a minute or so, two people, a couple so it seams, entered the living area. A woman who was statuesque. She had a beautiful figure, the kind you saw on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, the kind that made every girl around her take a hit on her self-esteem just by being in the same room. Her hair was golden, gently waving to the middle of her back.
She was escorted by a man- no a giant in Lucinda's mind. Tall didn't begin to describe this vampire. He must have been 6' or 6'1 at the very least. He had the figure that full time weightlifters aspire to have. He looked as if he could crush William like a potato chip, and yet he seem so at ease with the muscle.
Feeling intimidated, Lucinda leaned into Jasper's side, wanting protection from any harm to come, if any at all. None of the other vampire's in the room seemed alarmed by the entrance of the pair. In fact they barely seem phased.
The blond coven leader stood up from the game of chess and started to speak. "Rosalie, Emmett, I would like you to meet the newest members of our family. I am very certain that you will make them feel welcome."
"Yes!" The bulky one exclaimed. Emmett grinned before speaking again, "I have sisters too tease. Hi! I'm Emmett."
"And I'm Rosalie. And you are?"
"Well I am Alice," the pixie began, "and this is my mate William. And that is Jasper and Luci or Lucinda as she prefers but I call her Luci"
Rosalie looks Lucinda up and down, almost sneering here and there. These looks infuriated Lucinda, spiraling her gift beyond the little control she had. As soon as Jasper sensed her rage, he snugged it out with his gift.
An awkward silence filled the air, almost suffocatingly before Rosalie spoke again, "And where did you find these lot?"
"They found us," Carlisle replied as Esme sent her a scolding look, obviously disappointed with the lack of hospitality in her daughter's voice, "Can you show Lucinda and Jasper a room please."
"If I must."
