Chapter Twenty-Seven:

A/N: HAPPY PRIDE MONTH TO EVERYONE INCLUDED IN THE LGBT+ COMMUNITY
LOTS OF LOVE -the Chief

It was not fair, anyone could say that without a true motive but the empath of the Olympic Coven never said it wasn't fair, but he knew that it was fair. A crumpled piece of paper, photographs and a corpse that should be ashes were all he had left of his fiancée.

The paper was not filled with meaningless words, but heartfelt scripture because when it was written, it was known to be a goodbye message to be read them over and over.

Jasper knew it off by heart, so it wasn't necessary to bring with him to the new Cullen residence outside of Forks, but he did. Just in case.

Sweeping his hair behind his ear, he picked up to note and read it once more:

My dearest Jasper,
I know that a note is not a goodbye, but if you are reading this then Esme has followed through with her promise because I have died. I have not planned this but I have decided that Bella will survive this even if it means that the world loses a manipulator (a.k.a me)
I guess it is pretty terrible of me to leave but just close your eyes, imagine that I am next to you sitting on the sofa, trying to figure out the 'lightbox with the moving pictures' because we will never get to experience that again, or anything together thinking back
onto it.
I hope that you will be happy, Love, and I hope that you will move on, find joy and live your life. Nothing will ever be the same, the world will be different and I understand but please, find someone worth your time. Who is normal? (by vampiric standards, not Alice standards)
I realise that I have been an asshole, and consider this my apology because I am sorry.

Forever yours,
Lucie

P.s ~~ gasoline is that dangerous, in all honesty, it can be fatal.

Jasper knew that leaving Forks would lead to a new start, and starts are constructed of changes. Jasper Hale placed the note into the raging fire before walking out of the house.
