Chapter Forty-Nine:
Abandonment issuesUnlike Carlisle had predicted, the Denali's had not seen Irina since she had come to Forks to apologise to the Cullen's which had led to the coven being on edge. Andi had stayed in fear that Aro would find out about the and come to execute her but she knew that Caius was already trying to get her home.
Dropping the vase in her hands, Alice's eyes went white with the images of their future filling her mind, "The Volturi, their coming for us."

The Cullen's knew that they could not fight and that they could have Renesmee die so they settled for finding their vampric friends from across the globe to find witnesses.
However they had one more curve ball thrown at them: Alice, Jasper and William had left. They left a note for the coven. Lucinda had found it in her joint room that she shared with her fiancé.
They had a time set now, till the snow sticks. Lucinda and Andi had decided to head to east America to find her nomad friends whom of which had been residing in Virginia and New Jersey.
The pair travelled light, bringing the essentials only. Lucinda finally knew how it felt, for once she hadn't ran away but instead she had left.
The pain of abandonment was ten times worse than of which she had experienced in the sixties or when she had a week long road trip with Edward but she knew that she had no right to moan, this wasn't about her.
Virginia was cold, but not icy at least. Lucinda had caught the scent of her friends a few miles back so she took the lead with Andi a few paces behind her as they darted through the trees, weaving backwards and forwards as not to be hit.
As they approached a clearing in the forest, Andi signed to her companion that they were not alone by pointing upwards. The rustle of leaves gave away the location of the third party.
"We have heard you," Andi called out, "no point in hiding."
"We don't want to hurt you, but we will if you make us." Lucinda moved forward in a non-threatening way as of to seem passive but her words said differently, "Come down and we can talk, we need help."
The leaves rustled again as a man with his hair tied in a leather thong jumped from the branches, "Whatever it is you need help with, try my mate Peter and not me."
"Actually, Peter and Charlotte are why we came, so if you could bring them to us, it would be appreciated," Andi said, deducing the seemingly adventure seeking vampire.
"Secondly," Luci continued, taking over from where Andi left off, "we are looking for witnesses. My adoptive father, Carlisle Cullen, sent us."
The nomad grumble at the name, he knew him, "Fine, for Carlisle. But as soon as I can, I am leaving."
"Brilliant! Thank you so so much," Luci squealed, ecstatic that she had convinced a stranger to help their cause, "but I never got you name,"
As the nomad went to speak, another familiar voice from the tree line took over, "His name is Alister, I am glad you met him little Lucie."
