Chapter Twenty-Nine:
The resurrection

Trigger warning: It is the cliff scene before Alice arrives. Mentions of suicide and cliff jumping. Stay safe babies.

More time had passed since Lucinda last felt truly concerned for Bella's health. Was she depressed anymore, maybe. Was she acting reckless, debatable. Nightmares present, arguably not.

So what had changed? Was it that she reconnected with her friends? Or was it that enigma of a boy, Jacob Black, who so obviously had a crush on her which grew as they built Bella's bikes. Even his werewolfism didn't phase Bella. She was in love with a monster whilst crushing on a inhuman creature with a phantom watching over her, totally normal.

Lucinda disliked Jacob, he was broody, reckless and just annoying at times, but she couldn't bring herself to hate the shifter, he did save Bella's life after all, twice in theory. From herself and Laurent. So when he promised to take her cliff diving, she rolled her eyes and forgot about it.

Until she followed Bella up a cliff in La Push. Trekking through the trees, climbing higher and higher. Lucinda didn't realise what was happening when Bella peered over the edge. When she removed her jumper, she realised.

Isabella Swan was going to jump.

"No!" Lucinda cried, but to no avail. He pleas were silent as she was forced to watch as the girl who she died for killed herself.

As Bella submerged further and further into the water, Lucie's lungs stared to fill with water as a voice grew louder. 'Break the link,' it cried, 'break it and be free!'

The water started to build up quicker and quicker. She felt it rise up her throat as she began to choke. This was uncommon behaviour for vampires, let alone ghost.

Bella was sinking as rapidly as ever,
Going

          down and

                           down and

                                           down and

                                                             down.

Collapsing to the ground as her human link was pulled from the crashing waves, a sense of claustrophobia fell over the ghost. It was different to go from being free as air to being contained in under a second.

She knew that she had to see Bella safe before she could rest. Sitting up, she pushed the cage above her to discover it was wood above her, she tried to open her small prison and found it opens with a small push

Everything was different: everything was brighter than before, clearer even. She saw every bit of dust floating through the air, every crack and cobweb.

Then it dawned upon her. She wasn't in a cage, she was in a coffin. And most of all, she could touch the coffin. Reaching forward, Lucinda pushed the box with great force, causing it to crash through one of Esme's paintings.

Cringing away from the wreckage, Lucinda quickly summarised that she wasn't a ghost anymore, Lucinda sped down to through the garage, toward the faded white house where she had been spending her time these last few months.

The house looked the same, of course there was a few differences. The police cruiser was gone and in its place, a Mercedes. The leaves were moved again and the place smelled of wet dog.

Walking inside, she saw the suicidal human. She felt her rage build up as Bella turned to see who had entered the house. Subconsciously, Lucinda began to yell.

    "ARE YOU CRAZY?"
