Chapter 9 - Accident

Celina's POV

I was practically dreaming about two figures and a child next to me when I heard a loud crash. I opened my eyes slowly and noticed that it was already dark. I slept through the day? Just great! I yawned and stretched for a bit when I felt that someone was next to me. I slowly turned to my other side and saw Shawn sleeping. Darn, I forgot that I was with him. I smiled when I saw his cute little face. Even though that he's much older than me, he still looks like a baby while he sleeps. I couldn't help but giggle so I covered up my mouth, but I woke him up. He was about to open his eyes so I turned to my other side again and pretended that I was still asleep. I heard him yawned and then felt his arm landed on my waist and wraps his hands on me. Holy fudge holy fudge holy fudge!!! I was panicking already. My heart was beating faster than ever and I couldn't understand all these emotions and feelings that are coming to me just about now, I never felt this way before!! Holy fudge!! I heard someone chuckle which confused me.

"Gotcha!" I heard him say before his hand flies over to my sides and started tickling me.

"Stop... it! Can't... breathe..." I said between my laughs but I knew that he wasn't going to stop. 

After all that training and I couldn't even defend myself from getting tickled. Pathetic. About a few seconds later he finally stopped.

"No... fair." I said while I tried to catch my breath. He chuckled.

"You were making fun of me while I sleep." He defended which is true, but how did he know? I raised an eyebrow at him which signaled him to explain.

"You were giggling and I felt that you were facing me, why else would you giggle?" he asked but I smiled widely.

"But you looked so cute!" I stated which made his face go red.

He looks away while he tried to hide his face.

"You want to get tickled again?" He asked which I quickly answered with a no.

"Alexa!" I heard one of the hybrids call.

I got up and waved at him.

"What is it?" I shouted. He began to run towards us which didn't take long.

"Come... quick..." he said while he pants and gulped.

"Emily's hurt." He said which made my eyes widened.

Before I know it, I was running towards the clinic like my life depended on it, or worse, Emily's. While I ran I felt someone held my hand and stopped me.

"Let go!" I shouted but I didn't know that Shawn was the one who held it. He walked in front of me and got down on his knees.

"I'll give you a ride, I'm a fast runner." He said.

I didn't hesitate. I quickly nodded and got on his back. He started running and proved that he really was a fast runner. Usually, it takes eight minutes or so to get to the infirmary from the meadow but it only took us one and a half minute to get there.

When I got down from Shawn's back I quickly opened the door and saw blood on the floor. I gasped and nearly fell down but Shawn caught me. He took my hand and offered to help me. I started to look for Emily but all I saw were the hybrids that came with her. She was nowhere to be found. I started to get scared and so I was panicking. A moment ago I was looking for her in a composed way but now, I don't even know what I'm doing. I heard our doctors gathered up around a certain bed.

Most of them were relaxed but a certain numbers are panicking. I could tell who's lying down on that bed by the number of doctors that are gathered. I didn't think twice. I pulled Shawn's hand towards the bed while I squeezed myself through, until I got to the center. I gasped at what I saw.

"Emily!" I started crying.
