Cyrus' POV

It's been days since we last heard of Celina.

After all the drama and the planning, when we got out, it was a total chaos.

Guards were scattered everywhere as the palace was a total mess. They all got a scolding when Mom found out about it though. Mom said that they shouldn't have interfered with Celina since that they couldn't do anything to stop her. Imagine full grown men still getting scolded like children; hilarious.

We've walked back and forth through all of the places that Celina could've gone to, but we didn't find her. We didn't know what to do...

"Can you find her?" I asked Angelica one more time. Mom and Dad said that they got Angelica to find Ash's adopted father, Arthur, when Arthur wanted Angelica back.

She hummed and paced back and forth. "I can try, but I can't guarantee you that we'll find her that quickly." She breathed and finally stopped. "Did you figure out what could've caused it to awaken?" She asked which made me look at Astrid. She's been quiet since she finally woke up from the accident.

She shuffled from her sit and fiddled with her fingers while she looked at us uncomfortably. Looking at her brother, she took in a deep breath and nodded.

What are they up to?

"Astrid has something to say." Shawn started off as Astrid began to ready herself, standing up when she was determined to tell us something.

Clearing her throat, she looked at me and smiled apologetically. "I have something to say."

"Your brother already said that." I bluntly said which earned a smack on the back of my head. Astrid fell down on her seat again and looked blankly at the floor, holding back her tears.

Hissing at the pain, I glared daggers at Angelica but ended up sighing because of the stress that's building up inside me. I wasn't going to get mad at her. She helped me snapped back into reality by smacking the back of my head. I was rather grateful.

"So..." Angelica started off by walking towards the frightened girl. I should maybe apologize for how I behaved, but it will all depend on what she'll say or what she'll confess. "What were you going to say?" She said and sat right next to her, being careful to not frighten her even more.

Astrid took in a deep breath and sighed, glancing at her brother and me. "I-I don't know how this happened, but I might have done something to make her change into... that..."

"No fuck." I breathed and felt a shoe landed on my face. "What the--"

"Can you just shut up?!" Angelica finally exclaimed.

My mouth hung open. She doesn't usually have this kind of outbursts. She's only have a few that I can still remember. But when she gets like this, you better shut your mouth and listen if you don't want to lose your tongue.

I nodded in defeat which she rolled her eyes irritably at me and looked at Astrid, motioning for her to continue.

"I might have done something but at the same time, I didn't do it." I raised an eyebrow, widen my eyes and took a step forward.

She was the one that entered the room and she was the one who we saw inside with my sister, how can she tell us that it might not been her who caused my sister to change?

"What do you mean?" I breathed. I was confused. What is she saying? What does she mean?

A hand flew up to her shoulder, giving her comfort. She glanced at her brother's hand before giving him a faint smile.

Taking in a deep breath, she closed her eyes and tried her best to come up with the right explanation that won't end up in a misunderstanding that may cause an outburst, my outburst for example.

"The last thing that I remember is that I was still in the living room, looking at the Cyrus and Thana while they were talking, but when I closed my eyes, I saw something that I couldn't explain. I was lost in an empty void with a pair of green eyes looking at me.

The next thing I know, I was in a completely different room with Celina quivering on the floor with her hands cupping both sides of her head. When I looked at the door, I saw a spell that was disabled. When the magic evaporated, I began to hear Cyrus and Thana's muffled voice from outside, and you know the rest..." She breathed and looked at me. Her eyes began to water as she started to shake.

I crossed my eyebrows and looked at Angelica, hoping to get an answer for all the questions that are filling up my head.

"Angelica..." I breathed as I felt my chest tighten by the minute.

She pressed her fist on the tip of her chin and crossed her eyebrows. "The only possible thing that could have happen is that you were under a possession."

Possession?

Angelica nodded. "It's when your body acts on its own by someone else's will or claim it as their own, but there is only one race that can do those kinds of thing." She said.

I started to breath heavily as my I felt my heart about to jump right out of my chest. I crossed my eyebrows and waited for her to continue, waiting for her to say something different of what I had in mind. "Only Phantoms can possess a person." And there it is.

I threw my head back and cupped my face with both of my hands, running it down in a frustrated manner. "How are you certain of this? Ghosts can possess a person too you know." I stated.

She shook her head a couple of times. "You're right, Ghosts can possess another person. But Ghosts are souls without a body. Being possessed by Ghosts or other demonic entity are like two people in a room; an intruder and the owner. The owner is fully informed that there is someone rather than their selves that is occupying the room, which means that the true owner of the body is still conscious making it fully aware that there is another soul inside the body. The only way for the body-less soul to take ownership of the body that it currently possesses is to kill the soul that originally owns the body.

But since that Astrid doesn't remember it being like that, it is like the same phenomena but rather she was locked up in a room inside that room while someone else takes over it, but it isn't by using a soul, it is by pure magic." We're fucked up.

I looked at them both and scoffed. "I shouldn't have let you in..." I breathed while I shook my head, trying not to look at those two.

"What did you say?" Shawn finally spoke up with his eyebrows crossed while he glared at me.

I clenched my fist along with my jaw and glared back at him, making sure that he values his life before I take it. "You know what I said." I breathed. He stood up and started walking towards me as I walked towards him. We met each other in the middle of the room while we were a few steps from each other, holding ourselves back before we start killing each other. "If you didn't show up, then this wouldn't have happened. And if you're sister wasn't here, Celina would have."

He shook his head and let out a breath.

"You led that fucking phantom here! Do you know how hard it is for her to learn about the truth of how she was played by the lies that the fucking phantom told her? Do you know how hard it is for her when you and your sister came here? Do you know how hard it is for her to even let herself see your sister which eventually doomed her?!" I exclaimed.

He scoffed and raised an eyebrow. "Do you ever think of anything, other than your sister?"

"You wouldn't understand if your sister doesn't have a nightmare living inside of her." I stated and stepped closer. "You wouldn't understand if your sister is constantly in danger because of the things that came in with that nightmare." I took another step. "You wouldn't understand if your sister is here right now and not a living nightmare roaming around in places that we don't even know and you wouldn't understand how it feels to fail each time your sister needs you. You wouldn't understand if you haven't failed your sister a dozen times." I felt my chest tighten as I think of the things that Celina have gone through without me protecting her.

Every time I fail her, she would smile innocently at me and tell me that it is not my fault. She would try to comfort me even though it isn't me who needed it most.

I closed my eyes and fought the tears that wanted to escape. "But you really wouldn't understand if you didn't grow up, training to get your sister back, only for her to be taken away again from us." Tears streamed down my face as I shifted my eyes from Shawn to her sister and back to him. "If I ever get my sister back, you will never see her for the rest of your lives ever again."

I turned my back on them and made my way towards the door, hearing Angelica continuously calling out to me. I twisted the handle and got out, slamming the door behind me.
