(A/N: Just a filler chapter. But still, enjoy!)

Cyrus' POV

I kept shaking her as kept staring through space. She had a blank expression on her face but her eyes were the turquoise ones that she had when she woke up from that incident.

I squeezed on her arm, hoping to get a reaction but she didn't even respond.

The truth is that I never left. Just because we grew up separated from each other, doesn't mean that I don't feel a bond between us. I felt that she was hiding something from me, but forcing her to say it wouldn't make things any better. I had to pretend that she convinced me and that I was going to leave her in her room. But when she closed the door I pressed my ear against her door and felt something pressed against it. I didn't move an inch. Her door slightly moved after a few seconds, indicating that she pushed herself against it. I heard her fall and then it all went quiet. Then I heard her stumble and heard her pull a drawer and rummaged through it. I didn't hear anything after that. When I heard her fell, I kicked the door open and saw her on the floor, curled up into a ball while she rocked herself.

"Celina!" I exclaimed and shook her even more.

I gasped and stopped shaking her when she started to lift her hand up, as if to reach something in front of her.

I didn't like it one bit.

"Celina!!" I shouted louder and pulled her hand down. I pulled her into my arms and held her tight.

I closed my eyes and brushed my hand from the back of her head to her back and hushed.

"Celina, don't give in." I breathed and pulled away. I looked into her eyes and sighed. "Don't let her win Celina, don't let her take over." I said.

I was wrong when I told mom that Celina should control her emotions. She bottled up her emotions. That's what gave birth into this nightmare. I should've just told her to talk to me about anything. I should've just been there for her instead of finding a way out of it.

"Celina..." I breathed.

She took in a deep breath and the color in her eyes started to fade. A few seconds later, it was back to their normal color. She closed her eyes and breathed heavily. I was finally able to breathe with relief. Her eyes fluttered open and she was finally able to look at me.

"Cyrus?" She asked while she adjusted her eyes to the light of the room.

I sighed and pulled her into a hug. "I almost lost you there." I breathed which made her let out a sigh as well.

"She reached out to me." She breathed. I pulled away and stared into her eyes, examining what she was feeling and what she was trying to explain. "I almost let her take over but I heard your voice." She said and formed a faint smile on her lips. She looked down and brushed the piece of her hair from her face to the back of her ear. Closing her eyes and trying to forget about the incident, she tried her best to explain.

"I didn't feel anything."

I crossed my eyebrows and titled my head in confusion.

"I don't know if it's normal for us vampires but something felt off." She said while she rubbed her arm.

"We should be able to feel pain, so why didn't you?" I asked. She shook her head to say that she didn't know why and sighed.

She looked up to stop her tears from falling and bit her lower lip. "I was scared." She said and failed to stop a tear that fell down. "I tried to cut my arm but..." She said which made me look at the arm that she held.

I looked at her and slowly reached out for her hand. I gently took her hand off her upper arm and saw no wound or even a scratch.

"But, there's nothing there." I continued her sentence. She nodded in agreement and pushed her body towards mine. She wanted to be comforted.

I sighed and brushed my hand up and down her back. She sobbed and then cried.
I crossed my eyebrows and closed my eyes. Her cry filled my head and it hurt me.

I kept making mistakes.

She cried for an hour until she fell asleep while we were still on her bathroom floor. I thought of calling mom but I figured that she wanted to be alone.

She rested her body against mine while she sobbed in her sleep from time to time. I kept brushing my hand on her back and kept sighing. For an hour we didn't speak, she was able to let out her emotions that she kept bottled up without even causing a problem. Making her control her emotions caused the opposite of what we tried to prevent.

I supported her weight on my right hand and slowly got up. When I was able to kneel, I slowly carried her and lifted her up. She didn't even flinch. She was sound asleep. Who could blame her? Crying for an hour would tire your eyes out.

I slowly walked her over to her bed and gently laid her down. I tucked her in and surrounded her with her pillows so if she shifted to either side, she would still be comfortable.

I brushed the hair from her forehead and gently placed a kiss before I leave.

But when I was about to turn around and walk, she mumbled in her sleep.

"Shawn..."
