Chapter 33 - Nightmare

Cyrus' POV 

When Thana kicked me out of Celina's room I waited for them to get done. Believe it or not I waited an hour and a half.

"I'll need to get going." Thana said with a frown.

Celina held her hand and smiled sadly. "Will you come back?" She asked sweetly which Thana gave a nod and a hug goodbye.

We saw her off on our balcony. Celina sighed and pouted as Thana flew off.

"I still don't get why I dreamt of that." She whispered to herself.

I turned my head to look at her and saw how her face showed her emotions, she was bothered by something.

"What's wrong?" I asked. I reached out to her but before I could touch her she turned her head to me and glared.

"Okay, let's establish some rules here." She said with her arms crossed. "Yes, I want you to protect me but can you please do it in a normal way and not hide in bushes?" She asked which I let out a sigh in frustration. Don't get me wrong, I don't actually like hiding but I always get the feeling that she doesn't want me tailing on her. "I want to tell you things." She said which confused me. Her facial expression is some-what scared. "I want to tell you things that I want you to understand, not get all angry and possessive of your sister. I want to tell you what troubles me and what scares me so that you could protect me." She said.

I nodded and she sighed.

She nodded before pulling me towards the chairs and sat down. "In my dream, Thana was not like herself."

"What makes you say that?" I asked which she shrugged her shoulders and shook her head. She kept stuttering, thinking of a way to explain things to me.

"She... She's... well... I don't know..." She sighed. "It's like she's not her. The Thana in my dreams was the opposite of how Thana is in the real world." She said with a little bit of panic in her voice.

I held her hand and looked her in the eyes. "What did she say?" I asked calmly.
She took a deep breath and tightened her grip on my hand.

"She said that she is the night and said to enjoy the day, for it will be the last."

My eyes widen.

If Thana's creature somehow made it to Celina's dreams then it is capable of escaping into the real world.

"Go and find Dad, explain what happened, he'll know what to do." I said as I stood up. She nodded her head and started to run towards the palace.

She stopped and turned around. "What are you going to do?" She asked.

I walked towards her and kissed the top of her head. "I'm going to protect you." I said. She stared into my eyes to see if I was joking but when she was convinced that I wasn't, she turned left when she reached the hallway and disappeared.

I turned right and began to search for mom.

"Mom where are you?" I linked to mom, hoping to get an answer soon.

"I'm in the library. I found a way to extract the creature from Thana." She said. I didn't respond. I ran towards the library and slammed the door open.

I found mom on one of the tables reading an old and dusty book. I walked quickly and made my way towards her.

I pulled a chair out and sat across her.

"Here." She said when she rotated the book and passed it to me. "Read it close and read it well."

I crossed my eyebrows and searched for the part that she meant.
