Cyrus' POV

"Cyrus..." Mom gently called while she stood by the door.

I looked at her and turned my head back to my sister.

"You need to go outside." She said while she slowly made her way towards me. "You haven't left your sister since that day." She said and sat next to me.

I sighed and held my sister's hand. "I promised that I would protect her. I failed to protect her for the second time." I said and tightened my grip on her hand. "I won't make the same mistake this time. From now on I won't leave her side." I said which made mom sigh.

She rubbed circles around my back and looked at Celina. "It's been three days. You need to take a bath at least." She said.

I shook my head and held Celina's hand with both of mine. "I must be here when she wakes up, to apologize and to beg for her forgiveness." I said.

Mom sighed and held my arm. "You can't blame yourself forever. You didn't ask for this, neither of us asked for this. It was an accident." She tried to reason with me but I shook my head and sighed.

"If you don't want to leave her alone then use this room's bathroom to take a bath, I'll look after her here until you come back, how's that sound?" She asked and smiled weakly.

I looked at her and looked back at Celina.

Might as well be presentable when I ask for her forgiveness.

I smiled at Mom and nodded.

She smiled back and took out a bag that I didn't notice she had with her. She opened and checked it before handing it to me.

I smiled and gladly accepted. "You might not be the vampire goddess anymore, but you're still the best mom ever." I said which made her smile very widely.

I stood up and kissed my sister on her forehead before running towards the bathroom.

I turned the faucet on and let the showerhead release the water that ran down my body.

I don't know how I survived three days without showering but I really needed one.

**

After my bath, I got dressed and went outside.

"Mom, I'm done with--" I stopped at my tracks when I saw the girl that I didn't expect to see. "Thana?" I said.

She smiled and stood up from her sit next to Mom. There was something different that I couldn't tell. There was something different about her.

"I hope I'm not intruding." She said.

Mom smiled at her and looked at me. "Well, I guess I should be going now. I did say that I would stay until Cyrus' done with his bath, so..." She smiled and hugged Thana. "I'll leave you two." She said and winked at me. "Behave Cyrus Alexander, or else I will tell your Father." She said and walked towards the door. I saw her smirked before closing the door behind her.

And at last, we were alone.

Well, not exactly alone since that Celina's here.

She cleared her throat and looked at me. "Is it alright for me to be here?" She asked.

I sighed and walked towards where I was sitting before.

"It's alright." I said and sat down.

She sat down beside me and sighed. "I'm really sorry." She breathed. When I looked at her, she was already crying. "I didn't know what I was doing or what I was creating, I only thought that if I bottle up the emotions that I'm feeling then it would be alright." She said while she cupped her face into her hands. "I'm really sorry." She said and stood up. "I just wanted to see her before I leave."

I crossed my eyebrows and looked at her while tears flow down.

"I'm going to leave." She said and held Celina's hand. "I'm really sorry Celina, I didn't want to hurt you. I know that you can never forgive me but still, I'm really sorry." She said which made me sigh.

She turned around and sobbed. "Well, I had fun arguing with you, but this is goodbye." She started to walk away but I didn't stand up to stop her.

I only did what I didn't think I would do.

I held her hand.

Sparks ran through my body.

That's when I realized it.

She turned her head towards my direction and looked at my right hand while I grabbed hers. She was speechless but tears continuously flowed down.

"If you had fun arguing with me, then I'm sorry." I silently said.

"What?" She sobbed.

"I'm sorry because I didn't!" I exclaimed which made her gasp.

I stoop up from my sit which made the chair fall down and turned myself to her direction while still holding her hand. She didn't say anything, she just kept crying.

"If you think that you could just walk out on me then you're wrong!" I exclaimed.

She wiped her tears away and crossed her eyebrows. "What else do you want from me?!" She exclaimed.

I pulled her into my arms and kept holding her until she calmed down.

And by the time that she did, she had her arms on my back and her face buried on to my chest.

We kept standing for a few minutes. She sniffled and looked up to me. "Can you please answer my question now?" She asked which made me smile.

I have never seen her so vulnerable and so adorable.

"What is it?" I asked.

She sighed and buried her face back on my chest.

"What do you want?" She asked with a muffled voice.

I chuckled and pulled away. I cupped his face with both of my hands and kissed her forehead.

I looked at her and smiled.

"I want my mate."

**

Hey guys! It's kind of a short chapter but I just thought that it's time for Cyrus to find his mate and when I realized it, it turned up to be this way hahaha.

Okay, before some of you ask me about how he didn't notice it the day he turned eighteen since that he should have felt the connection between them, I will tell you all about it in the next chapter, so please be patient and please don't hate! I'm really trying my best to piece this together and think of a good plot for all of you to be interested in.

I will be posting by schedule starting today. I will post a chapter every Saturday.
Let me hear your thoughts!
