Cyrus' POV
Her head slowly turned as she stared blankly at us. I've seen those pair of turquoise eyes before but what scared me was her dark blue hair that just kept flowing and flowing. It shun in the moonlight as some particles of it shun like stars. It was breath taking yet in a different reason for a different matter.
My breathing turned heavily as I heard Thana's voice shouting from a distance. I don't know what to do. I want to help my sister but somehow I know that it'll be the end of me if I stay here with her. I wasn't able to stop her from turning into this form, I was too late. I shouldn't have let her see my sister alone. I should've been in here to stop her. I should've been here to comfort her. But yet, I made a mistake again.
I gulped and crossed my eyebrows as her eyes turned towards me as she stared straight into my eyes. She bobbed up and down steadily that made her look terrifying. I didn't know what could have made her turn into this but it has got to do with Astrid.
"Cyrus! Now!!" I heard Thana shouted a bit more seriously which made me groan and turned my back on my sister. It was the most painful thing that I did to her. I turned my back on her. I couldn't save her. I couldn't stop her from this nightmare that consumed her. I don't even know if she's still in there but I know that I have to save her, but I know that I have to save Astrid too.
I ran quickly towards the door and closed it behind me before throwing Astrid over my shoulder and begun to ran. One foot in front of the other... that was all I could even think of. I don't know what to think for all the things that have been happening in just one day.
"What the hell did you do?!" I exclaimed in attempt to wake this freaking girl up. But it was no use. I felt a warm liquid drip on my back as Thana gave me a worried look making me stop at my tracks.
We both panted as Thana crossed her eyebrows with tears forming in her eyes. "Why is this happening?" She breathed. Tears started to fall down which she quickly wiped with the back of her hand. She looked down on her feet and kept sobbing. My eyes landed on her hand that's been covered in Astrid's blood which made me remember.
"We can figure this out later." I breathed and looked at my back. Right now, we have something else to worry about. We don't really have much time on our hands to figure it all out but right now, we need to save this girl from dying. She's lost a lot of blood already and I don't know if she would even make it out of here alive. Whatever her reason is for being her isn't important anymore. We just need a reason and a way to make it out alive and somehow save my sister from the nightmare that I somehow created. I might not know what happened in there but I need to turn her back to her normal self. She's become a whole different person. She's not who she is anymore. But still... she's still my sister.
My eyes widened as I remembered something that I failed to do up until now. "We need to get her to grandmother, she can heal her." I said while I looked at Thana to know if she was still capable of running to them. She was soaked with her sweat and she was still panting. She is strong, but she doesn't have the endurance of running long distances. She's more of a flyer but I can see that she's putting up with running so that I wouldn't get left behind. Right now, it's a bad idea for us to leave someone behind.
She eagerly nodded and run ahead of me. I ran after her as I concentrated enough to send a link to everyone. I was too deep in my thoughts that sending a proper mind link became too hard for me. Having too much thoughts could send your very thoughts to them, and I don't want to make them worry about me, they have something big to worry about.
"Guys, there's an emergency! Meet us in the safe house, and can someone take Shawn there as well, he has an emergency too." I linked to everyone and waited for their response. We aimed to reached to the safe house safely, and so we run as fast as we could and at the same time being careful with our surroundings.
"I'll get Shawn." Dad linked. "Everyone's already on their way, where is your sister?" he asked which made it a bit harder to answer. We turned a couple of times before Thana turned her head towards me and looked at me as if to say that we were almost there.
I sighed while my mate and I kept running. "She's the emergency." I breathed while my mate and I turned our heads from left to right which was very hard for me since I have someone that's thrown over my shoulder. I couldn't let Thana look around us by herself. We need to watch each other's back.
I gently put Astrid down. Thana came in closer and reached her arms out to take Astrid into hers. She let out a breath when she got Astrid and lowered her down to the floor which she sat her down and rested her head against the wall. She stepped to Astrid's side and faced the direction of where we came from just to make sure that we weren't being followed. She turned her head back to me and nodded to tell me to hurry it up while she was on the lookout.
I turned my head back to the door and started to type in the password and scanned my finger print and my pupil. I waited for a few seconds until the system deactivated itself which the light above the door turned green indicating that it was unlocked. I turned myself back to them and helped Thana carry Astrid inside. While she dragged her inside, I popped my head out to check on last time if someone was there but thankfully, no one was there. I pulled the door closed and activated the security system before turning around.
Everyone had their mouths hung open but some had their hands over it. They all looked worriedly at Astrid and Thana struggled to keep her from falling. I sighed and run to her to carry Astrid myself.
"Get the bed ready." I ordered which made them snap back into reality as Grandmother quickly ran towards it with panic.
She took off her jacket and ripped a piece of fabric off. "What happened?" She breathed as she run to the sink to soak it with water. She ran back to Astrid and begun cleaning her wound while she had a worried look plastered on to her face.
"She was thrown at a wall." I sighed which they looked at me with shock and turned their heads to Astrid. They all watched her as Grandmother started to heal her.
She closed her eyes and held her hand over to Astrid's head then took in a deep breath. A light came out of her hands and eventually went it has gone off, Astrid's wound has healed.
"Her wound is sealed but she lost a lot of blood, we could only hope for her to come through." She looked at me and sighed. "For now, she needs all the rest the she needs."
I gave her a weak smile and nodded.
Thana and I tried to catch our breaths as Mom looked at me with a worried look. She waited for me to tell her about what happened but I know that she's worried about why Celina isn't here with us. Knowing me, Mom would know that I would do whatever it takes to bring Celina here and make sure that she's safe but knowing Mom, she already knows what's going on.
Mom looked at the floor before she fell right down on a chair that's behind her. She didn't even flinch and she wasn't even surprised at the furniture that was coincidentally there to catch her. She was worried before we got Celina back but I've never seen her like this. She had her head hanging from her shoulders while she stared blankly at the floor with a blank expression on her face.
I looked down as my hands formed into a fist which my fingernails dug itself into the palms of my hands. Soon enough, I felt a warm liquid escape from my skin and heard it hit the floor. Tears started to form in my eyes as I remembered that this wouldn't have happened if it weren't for me. I should've been the one who's in Celina's place. I should've been the one who's suffering right now.
The blames kept going on as I kept myself in the same darkness that was when the nightmare transferred into her.
But I was interrupted when a hand landed on the top of my shoulder which made me shot my head up and turned it on my side. I saw my mate looking at me with a worried look. "You're blaming yourself again, aren't you?" She said and gave me an apologetic smile.
I don't know how I should answer her. How could she even be like this to me when I've been to awful to her for the past few years? Ever since she came here, we've done nothing but to fight, train and argue. But even after all that, she's still here by my side, she didn't even reject me. She had every right to reject me but yet she accepted me. She set aside all those years of me being mean to her. So here she is comforting the one who's been a jerk to her since she could even remember.
I crossed my eyebrows and closed my eyes to hold back the tears but still, it escaped from my eyes. I cupped my face with both of my hands and cried. My head hung from my head as I pressed my back against the wall and slowly side down. I drew my leg up and rested my arm on top of it to rest my head on. Thana sighed and lowered her body to my side. I felt her arms wrapped around my head as she pulled me on to her chest. I don't even know if I deserve this or not. It's like the gods are playing this game at me.
"Cyrus..." My mate breathed as she rubbed circles around my back. "You've been blaming yourself since that day..." She pulled back with her hands rested on top of each of my shoulders but she looked straight into my eyes so that I would get every word that she would say. "Cyrus everything is happening for a reason." How could she still be this positive after all that's happened to her? "Cyrus if you didn't argue with me back then, and if you didn't make me create that creature then you wouldn't have accepted me even at my worst..." I averted my eyes but failed to do so when she moved herself to the direction where I was looking making me looked at her again. "Cyrus, you need to stop blaming yourself for this..." She breathed and looked down. "You can't be weak right now Cyrus!" She finally exclaimed which made me eyes widen but now she had my full attention. "Celina need you! Get yourself together!" She shook me endlessly, attempting to snap myself out of my misery.
I closed my eyes as my body rocked back and forth. I looked at my mom who's still lost in her thoughts. I looked at Grandmother who's staring at Astrid with Grandfather on her side. I looked at Aunt Casey who's being comforted by Uncle Aiden, and finally, I looked at my mate.
I slowly draw my hand up and placed it on top of hers. She stopped and looked at my hand before looking at me. "Cyrus?" She breathed. I smiled as she gave me an adorable confused look.
I let out a breath as I dropped my head low and rested it on her shoulder which made her froze. "I'm sorry for making you worry." I sighed and lifted my head up. "But I promise you that I'll make things better." We stared at each other's eyes as a smile slowly formed on her lips.
"You better Cyrus Alexander, or else I'm not going to marry you." She said but I just shook my head and chuckled.
I bit my lower lips as my eyes traveled from hers and to her lips. I looked back into her eyes as she scanned my face for any meaning of why my expression changed. I took in a deep breath as I leaned in closer to her. I waited if she would push me away or turn her head away but she stared into my eyes and waited for something to happen, I was given permission.
I gulped as our lips were only a few inches away from each other making me look at her pink lips that have been waiting patiently for mine.
Finally, my lips landed on hers as I closed my eyes and pulled her closer to me which turned our passionate kiss into a deep one. I know that it's a bit out of place for our kiss in this situation but this was the only thing that could calm me down.
I broke free from our kiss but planted a gentle one on her forehead and smiled against her skin. I lowered my head as leveled myself for an eye to eye contact. "You're going to marry me one way or another." I said while her mouth hung open. "But yes, I will." I said and shook her gently to make her snap back into reality.
A playful smile formed on her face while she gently pressed her hand on the side of my face. "Go to your Mom, she needs you..." She breathed but I shook my head stood up, offering my hand down to her.
"She needs us both."

Hey guys! I'm really having a terrible writer's block on the next chapter, so the longer that I think of the plot by myself, the longer that you'll have to wait for it to be published. So, if any of you would be kind enough to help me think of a plot or give me some ideas on how to make it interesting, I would be grateful.
Send me a private message because writing about it on the comment section would really spoil the plot. I would be counting on you guys!
