Chapter 18 - Her Trick

Celina's POV

"It is not my concern whether she is sick or not. Her Father said that she will only be visiting and we had an agreement to that." Philip stated while doing some paperwork.

I stomped my feet and pouted.

"But she really wants to stay here!" I exclaimed.

"Stop being a child, Luna! You are 17 years old so I expect you to act like one! I already let Shawn stay here and I am not keeping another one!" He shouted which made me take a step back.

"Is that what you think of us? That you'll be keeping us like a pet of yours? I thought that all that lives here are like family!" I glared at him making him drop the paper that he's been reading.

"I have done everything that you ask of me. I've trained hard because you wanted me to. I have never even lived a life of a normal girl! I want her to stay here with me! Shawn's Father asked you to let Shawn stay here and you approved, what's the difference between Shawn and her? She's her daughter, isn't she? Then what's keeping you from agreeing to it? I'm only asking you one thing; please let her stay here with me. I promise that I'll train harder, please just let her stay!" I exclaimed which made him sigh.

"Very well." He breathed.

"I expect you starting training tomorrow with your promise and I don't want any trouble. I'll contact her Father and tell him about this, if he disapproves about this then I have no right to make any decision, are we clear?" he said with an eyebrow raised.

I nodded eagerly and smiled widely.

"Thank you!" I said and left.

I closed the door behind me and ran to find Shawn. I have to tell him about this! Philip finally said yes! But it's still not official though. Their Father is the only one who can really decide whether she can stay or not. I sighed and stopped.

"I wish she could stay." I whispered to myself.

"What are you talking about?" Emily suddenly said behind me which made me jump in surprise. I clenched my chest and glared at her.

"You could've given me heart attack!" I exclaimed but she just giggled.

"So, what are you whispering about?" She asked while she accompanied me. I took a deep breath.

"I asked Philip if Astrid could stay here because Shawn asked me to, Philip agreed but he said that he'll still ask her Father if she could stay or not and so if her Father says no then we will have no choice." I sighed.

"I wish I could convince her Father." I breathed. She giggled.

"You really should have more faith in others." She smiled.

"Her Father wouldn't let her come here if he wouldn't want her to be here."

"But what if he doesn't want her to stay here?" I asked which made her smile.

"I know that they want her to be happy." She stated.

"She's very weak, they want to do anything to make her happy. I know that her Father will let her, he knows that you'll protect her." She smiled which is very comforting.

"Thank you." I smiled and saw Shawn.

I called out and said goodbye to Emily then ran towards his direction.

"I talked to Philip." I said while catching my breath.

He smiled.

"Thanks." He said.

"So what did he say?" he asked and I explained what I did to Emily a while ago. He suddenly smiled and chuckled.

"What?" I asked which he then shook his head.

"Between us two, Astrid is the one who's always cared for the most, I think that she'll get what she wants, Father won't be able to say no once she uses her trick." He chuckled.

"What trick?" does she have a power or something? 

Can she perhaps control one's will? Maybe she's more dangerous than she seems.

Shawn chuckled.

"Puppy dog eyes and one powerful pout."
