Cyrus' POV
I walked along the hallway with my hands sliding across the wall. I kept sighing while thinking of what I did, well, what I didn't do actually. I promised that I would protect her from everything. Why did I forget about her vampire instincts awakening after her birthday? Mom made me drink blood before that sort of thing happened to me but somehow I forgot to tell her about it. I don't know what I should feel. I don't know what I shouldn't.
I stopped and stood still. I ran my fingers through my hair which messed my hair a bit. I wasn't a neat-freak, I wouldn't freak out by a messy hair. I'm more of a control freak, and somehow an over protective one for that matter.
"Hmm I don't know. I think that you're just over-protective." I heard someone laughed. Did I just say that out loud?
I turned my head to the left only to see my least favorite person. "It's just you Thana." I groaned. She was sitting on the edge of the balcony with her legs crossed and her wings slightly unfolded.
She smiled and got down. She made her way towards me while the tip of her wings touched the floor. "I know exactly what you're thinking." She said while she inched closer to me. "You're thinking of that sister of yours." She said.
I crossed my eyebrows and formed a fist. But before I could form an excuse I stopped.
I looked at her a bit closely than I usually do, and I may not look at her as often as I should but I know that her eyes aren't dark blue as the night sky.
She smiled. "What's wrong Mr. Sis-Com?" She scoffed.
She insults me from time to time but I don't think that it's her insulting me this time. There's something wrong. I can feel it. I know it. I didn't get the chance to know her at all, but I spent enough time to know that this isn't how she normally acts around me or around others.
I clenched my fist and glared at her. "Who are you?" I asked which made her laugh.
"If you spent more time with her, then you might have known what secrets she hid and what burdens she has. You might actually discover what became of her." She said which confused me.
"What do you want?!" I screamed which made her form an evil smile.
She took a few steps towards me and leaned in my ears. "I want the day." She said and turned around as quickly as possible. She ran towards the balcony and unfolded her wings. I ran after her but before I could reach her, she jumped and flew away, just like how she flies away after a fight with me, but this time, she wasn't flying away to hide her tears, she flew away so that I wouldn't get her.
"Mom? We have a problem." I linked to Mom as soon as I went back inside.
"What is it?" She linked back in a worried tone.
I sighed. "We might have a problem. We need Angelica. Can you have Aunt Casey call her right away? It's an emergency."
"Right away. I'll gather the rest. We'll wait for you in the conference room." She said which I answered with a thank you.
All I know about Thana is that she is from the race of Angels of Death. That race reigned the world. The moon goddess thought that the angels of death will be the angels that will guide the spirit of the dead to their rightful place, but the angels had other plans. They became Death themselves; they ruled the world with endless nights. Before long, the moon goddess created other beings to stop the Angels from their destruction and to balance the unity between the sun and the moon. Most of the Angels were killed but some got into hiding. They died as the years passed and only some are known to have survived. Kira was the last survivor. She learned to conceal her wings and learned to conceal her identity. But little is known about how she did it. Her secret died with her when she targeted herself not knowing that she will be discovered by one of her angels. That angel is Angelica. And now, only Angelica can tell me exactly what Thana is.
Only she knows what she wants and only she knows how to stop her.

"I'm a busy person you know." Angelica said with both of her arms crossed.
I slammed my fist on the table and stood up from my seat. "This isn't the time for your busy work! One of your angels isn't what you think she is! So how do you explain that?!" I screamed that made Mom stand up and place a hand on my shoulder which made me calm down a bit. I mumbled an apology and sat down. "I don't want my family getting hurt. I just want an explanation on why Thana is like that. I didn't spent that much time with her to get to know her but she isn't acting like herself, and I mentioned this a thousand times earlier but her eyes are dark blue for crying out loud! Didn't you say that her eyes are red?!" I screamed which I got a pinch on the elbow from Mom and made me mumble an apology again.
Angelica sighed and unfolded her arms. "You know why?" She said and glared at me.
"I don't suppose that you're going to tell me that this is my fault?" I said in a sarcastic tone which made her clench her jaw.
"I may need to remind you that I stopped killing years ago and I never did kill anyone that wasn't my target, but I would gladly kill you for being this stupid." She threatened.
Aunt Casey crossed her eyebrows and looked at Angelica. "What do you mean? What did Cyrus do?" She asked which made Angelica sighed.
"Yes she is an Angel of Death. She was born like that. She was given to us right after her birth so she isn't connected to what happened thousands of years ago. The only possible answer to what could've made her create an alternate personality is the mixed feelings that she bottled up inside her. Fear, Anger, Pain, Sadness, all of that, she kept it all to herself. And oh I don't know, maybe someone made her feel that way and all she could do was to fly away crying?" She said in a sarcastic tone which made everyone sigh and looked at me with disappointed looks. "Her eye color symbolizes the mixed color of those emotions, or rather the chaos that it resulted." She sighed.
"Well, how could I have known that she was capable of doing that?" I said which made her face-palm herself.
"If you could have spent more time to actually get to know her and stopped being a control freak then you would have known."
I groaned. "I had a sister to save! What did you expect me to do?"
"I'm not going against you all saving Celina but it only took you a few hours to do it! And you had seven years to spend some time with Thana!" She exclaimed.
"I do spend time with her!" I said which made her groan.
"The only time that you spent with her is either when training or arguing with her! Do you even know how much she's been through? And her time here didn't make it better since that you two are always arguing!" She exclaimed which made me stand up from my sit.
"I already apologized to her!" I said which made her stand up.
"Well, it's too late!" She screamed and turned around, she walked towards the door she opened it and walked to the other side. "You'll reap what you sow." She said and slammed the door shut behind her.
The rest sighed and slumped on their sits. I was still standing. Still shocked by how Angelica acted. Since that Aunt Casey and Uncle Aiden adopted her, she's my cousin. We never had a fight before.
"Two angels are mad at you." Dad laughed and shook his head. "How did you get this unpopular." He said with a chuckle.
Mom cleared her throat which made Dad stop immediately. "This isn't the time to be joking around." Mom said which made the others agree but me and Dad who is still sitting quietly like a child.
"Cyrus already apologized to Thana so what else could we do?" Grandmother said.
"We can't stop what she already created, you heard Angelica, Thana created an alternated personality, the only sign that we have is the color of her eyes." Aunt Casey defended.
They all sat quietly before Grandfather spoke. "Isn't there a way to extract this personality of hers? Maybe seal it in a safe place where no one could get it."
They all looked at each other before looking at Mom. "We might be able to save Thana but protecting the extracted personality of hers can be dangerous to even ourselves." She defended which made everyone sigh in disappointment.
"Even if we could, there's no way we'll know where she is or when she'll come back here." Uncle Aiden said.
"And plus, we don't know when her other personality will show up." Dad finally spoke up as agreeing with his brother.
Mom sighed. "We can only wait until she comes back herself, for now we'll do everything that we can in order to protect everyone." Mom said which everyone agreed to. "Xander, you rally the guards and explain the situation." Mom said which made Dad nod and stand up. "Casey and Aiden, both of you find Angelica and make her calm down." They both nodded and went out. "Mel and Jasper, I need you both to recall any information that we can use to help us figure out how to stop Thana." she asked which they answered with a nod. "I'll link Mom if she could come home and Cyrus?" She said which made me stiffen.
"I need you to watch over Celina, we still don't know what Thana is capable of. I know that you had lots of stuff that's going on in your mind that involves your sister but I need you to keep it together and protect her this time, what happened to her isn't your fault. It's part of being a vampire, we couldn't prevent it but you can protect her. If you see Thana, try to get as much information that you can out of her but do it in a calm and reasonable way, if I am correct, she will only have small or no recollection of her alternate personality so try not to let her find out about what we know of it, understood?" she said which made me sighed.
"Understood." I stated and made my way back to Celina's new room.
Thoughts are filling up my head. I don't know whether to feel guilty or to feel annoyed.
With all the thoughts that have been running through my head, I didn't notice that I was already in front of Celina's room.
I took a deep breath and clutched the handle; I turned it and slowly opened the door.
As soon as the door was wide open, my eyes widen with shock as I saw what I didn't expect to see.
Thana was chocking my sister to death.
Just kidding.
Thana was sitting next to my sister's bed while she held her hand. She looked at me when she noticed me.
She gave me a weak smile and turned her head back to Celina.
"I wanted to check up on her. I remembered her a while ago and decided to come and see her. I saw her from outside the window when I flew by and let myself in." She laughed weakly. "I felt that she was in pain, and no one was with her so I didn't want to leave her all by herself." She smiled and looked down.
This is supposed to be the girl that I should've been getting to know of if I wasn't such a jerk.
"I guess that I should leave, right?" She gently asked which didn't give me much of a choice.
I shook my head. "I want you to stay." That was the kindest thing that she did and she deserves the kindest words.
She smiled and thanked me.
I didn't need to check her eye color, I know for a fact that this is the real Thana. And whatever that thing was, I will save her from it.
