Cyrus' POV
I sighed as soon as I closed the door behind me. Letting out all of my frustrations in a single puff of air just didn't work out for me.
I pressed my hand against the door and stared blankly while I tried to remember what I did back there. I shouldn't have let her see that side of me. I shouldn't have let her see that something was bothering me. I know that I'm thinking of this too much but I couldn't let them take her away from me.
I know that there's something that those two are plotting but I just couldn't get them to confess or even talk.
But one thing's for sure, I have to keep everyone safe.
I sighed and closed my eyes. "Hey, babe?" I linked and waited hopefully for a response.
"What's wrong? Is something wrong? You sound troubled..." She linked with every bit of worry in her voice.
I smiled and shook my head. "I'm fine, where are you? What are those two doing?"
"Shawn's standing quietly at the balcony while I talk to his sister Astrid, trying to get any information out of her." She said. "We're in the living room by the way."
I nodded and started making my way to them. Leaving my mate with those people was risky but I know that she can handle things by herself. She and I have the same strength since that we both couldn't beat each other when we were training together. She is even capable of doing things that I couldn't do.
After my long journey, I was finally able to reach the living room. Panting and wiping my sweat off before opening the door. Once I did, all heads were turned to me. Astrid looked nervously at me while her brother didn't mind my sudden arrival.
I cleared my throat which finally caught his attention. "I talked to her." I informed which he answered with just a nod. "Aren't you going to ask what she said?" I raised an eyebrow which made him sighed and turned his head back to me.
"If you had anything to say then you would've said it the moment that you came in. Plus, if she said that she wanted us to leave then you wouldn't ask me about asking you what you talked about instead you would drag us away without wasting a minute." He breathed and turned his head back to the window.
I raised my eyebrows with both of my eyes widened. "You have guts." I said with full of irritation in my voice. If he forgotten that he's here in our home and that he is just a mere guest, then let me punch some sense in to him.
Thana must have noticed the tension that was building up because I didn't notice her until she held my hand and pulled down to sit beside her.
"Babe, calm down." She whispered which made me sighed.
I crossed my eyebrows and looked at her. "I just don't get why they wanted to see her that badly..." I breathed and ran my finger through my hair.
"Why don't you ask them?" She said. I raised my head up and looked at her if she was being serious.
She smiled the moment my eyes landed on hers. "Are you kidding me?" I asked which made her giggled and rested her head on my shoulder.
"Babe, you wouldn't get anything out of them if you keep on treating them like that..." She said and looked at both of them. "Asking is the only way to make them tell you something. It could be a lie but we don't know if it will be the truth. But what else could we do?" She said and turned her head back to me. "Just try to be nice, okay?" She said with a bright smile that I couldn't say no to.
I sighed and slowly nodded. "But this doesn't mean that I trust them." I said which made her giggle once more and nod.
I took a deep breath before nodding and standing up.
