Cyrus' POV

I walked towards the garden. I still have 30 minutes before training starts again, might as well relax. Mom said when she was pregnant with us she used to come here and relax, she even tried to exercise but it was too dangerous since that carrying vampire kids can cost your life and pushing yourself too hard can worsen her state, she got scolded after that. Mom used to tell me stories when she was pregnant with us since that she couldn't tell me stories about me and my sister. I sighed and sat on the bench in the middle of the garden. I closed my eyes and breathed deeply.

"I don't feel like training today." I said to myself and open my eyes only to see a girl with a smile on her face, looking at me from above.

I panicked which made her giggle.

"Being lazy again?" she asked then sat down next to me. I sighed.

"I'm not lazy, Thana. I'm just taking a break." Thana is one of Angelica's workers.

Angelica's training Thana since that she said that Thana will be her successor, but Thana's a Death Angel. She maybe a death angel due to her black wings and her urges to kill but she's nice. While the Angels send souls to places, she keeps the angels safe. In short, she's sort of a body guard rather than being killed. Angelica was the one who suggested that she does the job than to be killed, Angelica thought that Thana was a good angel.

Thana was almost killed when she got her wings, yup, angels are not born with wings, they get them at the right age. When she got black wings the others think that she's the resurrection of Kira but Angelica defended her and they had no choice but to do what she says since that they get their orders from her, when the time passed, they saw that Angelica was right and they decided to accept her.

"You always say that even though you're just lazing around." I glared at her.

"Since when did you know me?" I asked sarcastically which made her laugh.

"I've been training with you for eight years Cyrus. Everybody knows how you act." She said and stood up.

"You may act tough, but I know that deep inside, you're just as fragile as everyone else."

l know that those words aren't insults, they were the truth. She spread her wings and smiled.

"I'll see you at practice." Then she flew off.

"You could've just walked with me." I said bluntly.

"I heard that!" She shouted from above before disappearing. I smiled and got up.

"How annoying." I breathed but she made me smile.

**

"Put your back into it!" Angelica shouted at Thana who was literally crying.

I almost laughed at the sight of her giving up.

"Who's lazy now?" I shouted which made her glare at me. I swear.

Her glare can be as deadly as she is.

"Give her a break." Dad said with mom by her side.

"She's probably tired, you've been training all day." He said with Mom agreeing to it.

Thana's eyes softened with tears of joy and she came running to Dad, thanking him. Mom giggled but Angelica sighed and gave up.

"Snacks everyone!" Aunt Casey shouted which made Angelica and Thana run for it. They only get along with one thing. Food. I smiled and decided to go inside but Dad stopped me.

"I need to talk to you." He said and gestured for mom to give us a moment, Mom nodded before she walked away. I crossed my eyebrows and spoke up.

"What is it?" He sighed.

"We're close to finding your sister." My eyes widened.

"How? Where?" "It took us all these years but one of our men found out that there was a fight on a certain mountain." He said which confused me.

"What's that got to do with Celina?" I asked confusedly. Seriously? How is a fight going to solve our problem?

"The area is far from civilization. Anyone who would be up there would only mean that they were only passing by. We located the area and saw only one possible place that anyone could be living on." He said but with full of disappointment.

"What's wrong?" I asked which made him sigh.

"We found the most possible place but getting there is the problem, aside from the possible guards, the only way to get there is to pass several mountains." He said.

"What's wrong with that?" I asked again.

"It is infested with rogues and dangerous creatures that even I wouldn't want to encounter. When they chose a place to hide in, they weren't kidding when they wanted to be kept hidden. They chose to be in a dangerous place so that getting in there and back out would be dangerous itself."

"What should we do?" He sighed before crossing his eyebrows.

He only does that when he doesn't know what to do anymore. And that is not a good sign. With dad running out of ideas, taking her back wouldn't be as easy as we think.

"Pulling off a proper plan will take a few months, and pulling it off to make sure it works out as planned with take even longer, are you up to that?" He didn't have to ask.

All it took was a nod and then we began.
