Chapter 8 - Dark Chocolate

Celina's POV 

This morning will be my "rest day" as Emily said. She said that she asked Philip if I could take a rest for today and so Philip said "yes". It's not usual for him to be this considerate but I like to think of it as my way of getting closer to him. 

"So what do you want to do today?" Emily asked while she walked next to me.

I looked outside and yawned.

"I don't know. What about you?" I asked which made her look worried.

"I don't want to ruin your day but I do have things to take care of." She said sadly which made me stop. 

"What kinds of things?" I asked but she shook her head which means that I don't have to know about it. 

"Can I come along?" I asked but she smiled and shook her head again. 

"Sorry Alexa but you can't. I'll be leaving the mansion with the others today to go to town." She said which made me frown. 

"Don't be like that." She said and patted the top of my head. "I'll be home before dark." I didn't want to let her go but I nodded and looked away.

"I'll bring you some chocolates when we get back okay?" She smiled sweetly which made me feel at ease.

"I'll wait for you then!" I said which made her giggle. 

"I want dark chocolate, okay?" I asked energetically and so she nodded right away.

I watched her get on the helicopter with the others and waved goodbye. Something doesn't actually feel right. I sighed and walked towards the only place where I could gather my thoughts; in my meadow. I walked silently and carefully, even though I still don't know why I'm this way. I sighed and continued to walk for five minutes until I reached my tree. I lay down and closed my eyes. Few moments later I heard someone coming. It couldn't be Emily, it's only been a few minutes and she couldn't possibly be back so early. I opened my eyes and saw someone walking from the distance. I blinked my eyes numerous times before I could recognize the person. I smiled as soon as I saw who it was. I quickly stood up and ran towards him, tackling him into a hug. 

"Shawn!" I giggled. He laughed and hugged me back tightly. 

"How've you been?" he said while we laughed. I pulled away and smiled. 

"I've been good! Today's my rest day so I don't have to train today!" I said proudly which surprised him. 

"Train for what?" He asked when he got up. He offered me his hand and so I took it. 

"I don't really know." I laughed when he pulled me up. 

He raised an eyebrow and shook his head. 

"Surely you aren't training for battle, right?" He asked but I giggled. 

"Kind of." I said and took his hand and ran towards the meadow. 

"Come on, let's have some fun!" I said which made him laugh and nod. 

"You surely haven't changed one bit!" He stated. 

We both laid down on the grass, side by side. 

"Is that a bad thing?" I asked. He shook his head and smiled. 

"It's a good thing. You're still the same girl that I met a long time ago." He smiled but soon after that smiled turned into a frown. 

"What's wrong?" He sighed and turned to his other side. 

"All my friends started to avoid me for some reason, that's why I was glad that you haven't changed." He said but I didn't respond. 

"We haven't seen each other for years and we're still close as ever, but all my close friends changed in just an instant." He said while he tried his best to hide his tears.

I didn't know what to say, instead, I crawled over and gave him a back hug while we're laying down. He was surprised at first but then he began sobbing.

 "It's alright. I'll never change, I'll always be your friend even though we're far away from each other and we may not see each other very often but still I won't change." I said and buried my face on his back. 

I was able to inhale his scent, and somehow it made me feel calm and safe. He started to calm down and then he stopped. 

Shawn's POV

When I calmed down I felt her loosen her arms. I waited for a few seconds and decided to look at her to check if something's wrong. I turned around to face her but I saw her peacefully sleeping. I smiled and rested her head on my arm and brushed her hair from her face. I smiled and wrapped my other arm on her and closed my eyes. We both fell asleep.

READ THIS SHIT!!!!!!! Hey guys! Okay! I will be posting the next two chapters of this story because Christmas is near and you know, typical family get togethers. Plus I won't be able to use my laptop due to the fact that I have a fever (again) so I wrote the two chapters before my fever gets worse (but I hope it doesn't) and will be posting it when I finish writing this author's note. I don't think that I will be able to update very soon because when I am sick, I only get better after four days or so, why is that? Haha! I like to shut myself inside my room all day, buried under a dozen pillows hoping that I don't get anybody else sick. And I am pretty much awake all night (most of the time) and asleep all day.
