Chapter 20 - Same Face

Alexa's POV

I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. I was surprised that I was on the bed. I tried to remember what happened last night but I failed to do so. I felt a grip on my hand, and when I looked next to the bed I saw Shawn sleeping while he holds my hand.My face reddens as look at him while he sleeps. I got up into a sitting position and watched him silently. I wondered what happened last night. I sighed which made him shift.

"Alexa..." he murmured in his sleep.

It made my heart melt. His eyes slowly opened which made me compose myself quickly.When he had his eyes fully opened, I smiled.

"Good morning!" I said.

He nodded and yawned but when he saw that he was still holding my hand he suddenly gasps and let goes of it.

"I-I'm sorry!" He apologized but I just laughed at him.

"What happened last night?" I asked while he rubbed his eyes.

He crossed his eyebrows.

"You don't know?" he asked but I just shook my head.

"I thought that you knew what happened, that's why I stayed by your side all night, in case you wake up." He said which made me blush.

I know that he meant it in a worried way but a part of me makes me want to take that for something else.

"I-I don't remember." I said quietly.

"All I remember was I went outside and fell asleep on the chair."Lies.

I remember what I saw but I don't know how to tell him about it. I remember tried to get inside but that was it.He sighed in relief.

"Maybe you were just tired and when you tried to get into bed you just collapsed." he smiled which made me nod.

"But Emily was pretty worried though." he said which made me gasp.

"She was the one who came after she heard something fell, I came in after her." he laughed at the end of his sentence which confused me.

"When I asked Emily about where they went after they disappeared but she nervously laughed and stiffly left."

I nodded but I'm more worried about how I made Emily worry.

"I think she might be in her room." He said with a smile.

I smiled back and jumped off of my bed.I ran towards the door, opened it and continued to run through the hall. I ran until I reached Emily's room.I tried to catch my breath before opening the door. Once I've calmed down I pushed the door open, slamming it on the wall and screamed. 

"EMILY!!!!" I shouted which made her fall from her bed while screaming.

I laughed and tackled her into a hug. 

"What is it?" She said while she was still in her panic-mode.I sighed.

"Sorry for making you worry!" I apologized which made her giggle.

"I'm just glad that you're fine." She said gently.

"But I think Shawn was more worried than I were." She said with a grin.I giggled.

"Yeah, he slept next to my bed. He said that he never left my side." I said which made Emily smile again.

"What?" I asked with a laugh.

"Oh nothing." She giggled.

"Which reminds me..." She said with a more serious look.

"What happened to you last night? We were really worried. Shawn thought that you were attacked." She's worrying again.
