"Relax Mia." Taehyung whispered to the very tense girl next to him. All throughout the walk inside, she had been rigid and solid like a human-sized doll.

"I'm trying." Mia had really tried. But she really couldn't get any less relaxer than she was now. Everything was new. She didn't know this world—this society that she was in now. She was dressed for it but internally she wasn't prepared for this.

"It's okay." Taehyung chuckled at Mia's suffering.

It was mean but Taehyung wasn't a kind person, that was given. He was nice enough though, so he rubbed her waist as he had escorted her into the villa and away from the flashing lights of the camera and taken her away from the main crowd. Taehyung was fine with that because he didn't want needless people to hound on either of them. And having some privacy with the woman did not sound so bad to him.

So...distance was good.

"Uh..." Mia had her eyebrows knitted tightly as she tried to focus on walking with the heels on her feet. One by one, step by step. Her goal was simple: to not fall.

Sadly, but it was true, Mia was glad that Taehyung was next to her. He took her every where he went. To each person who came up to them or called to them, he took her with him and since she felt like a lost child, she was kind of glad—the word kind of being a key word—that she had someone she knew with her.

In her mind, Mia was just glad hat Taehyung was owning up to his decision of forcing her to accompany him. She would have been so much more pissed if he had just abandoned her to her own.

Until, he got annoying too. Then Mia just wanted Taehyung to leave her alone to drink and to eat.

Then, when that moment came, when Taehyung had been forced to leave Mia to discuss business with a colleague and an acquaintance, Mia took the chance to get out of his grip and to pig out.

Why? All the food there was first rate, fine, delicious cuisines. And Mia was getting down to it.

"I am so glad to have finally met you." Layla expressed her excitement to see the girl. The girl that had changed her immovable ex.

"And you are?" Mia stared at the girl quizzically as she was thoroughly torn between eating and not being rude.

Mia was holding a plate full of food and munching on the delicious hor d'oeuvres and food at the food corner. Taehyung had been taken away by some others and she was fine with that. She was just going to enjoy the food there and it was even better since Taehyung was away from her.

It had been the plan to go unnoticed but it had been unsuccessful as she was noticed by a bubbly, gorgeous woman, who had been eyeing Taehyung since the beginning. Mia hoped there wouldn't be a cat fight because she was not into Taehyung at all.

"I'm the hostess, per se. This party is for my birthday." She smiled, her pearls white and perfect.

"Oh." Mia said. She placed the plate down on the table as congratulations were a priority. "Happy birthday."

"My name is Layla." Layla smiled, her perfectly painted lips rouge red.

"Do you know what a Manic Pixie Dream Girl is?" Layla couldn't help but bring it up. Even though it had only been ten minutes since Mia had entered with Taehyung, Layla felt as if she had known Mia for years.

She had been thinking about it the entire day and night that she needed to let Mia know. She knew so much about Mia. And she wanted Mia to know her as well. Layla so desperately wanted to be friends with the girl because there was so much to teach and talk about to her.
