Mia stared at the wall that she faced. It was night and well past midnight after hours of playing.

"Taehyung are you not going to tell me why you're like this?" Mia had been unable to ask him immediately since when he had come back to his own place, he had gone on a rampage.

The first thing Taehyung had done was hug her too tightly, too intimately. And Mia had been about to pull away as it gradually tightened to the point that it hurt too much for her and she knew that he had been angry. She did not know why but she knew that. She had no choice but to struggle but that struggle itself had caused Taehyung to be angered further. He had lifted her up in his arms before dumping her on the sofa before stripping his shirt away from him.

Mia wanted to say something.

Mia wanted to know why he was being like this. Seeing his eyes though Mia had nothing to say. She stripped herself as she felt his tugs on her clothes. The look in his eyes were hollow, as if he was trying to hide something from her. Somehow Mia knew, there was something hurting and angering him and Taehyung...was doing what he knew how to protect himself—consciously or not.

"What do you mean? I'm always like this." Taehyung paused as he snuggled his nose in the crook of her neck.

He really liked the scent that came from her neck. He really liked marking her his there. He allowed the soft gentle smell enter his nostrils, his eyes shut, Taehyung thought about why his emotions were so rampant.

And being this close to him only made Mia forget about anyone except Taehyung. That made Mia more in tune to what Taehyung was currently feeling.

"No you're not." Mia felt comfortable in his embrace. She felt his heart beat under his chest and she could feel her own heartbeat match with his heartbeat. His was strong and steady, and it travelled from her back to her own body, his heat transferring to her own. "Did something happen today?"

"Maybe..." the last thing he wanted to discuss was about the cockroach-like loser that had returned.

"If you don't want to tell me..." Mia was interrupted as Taehyung tightened around her more.

"Mia, I don't want you to ever see Mark. I know he's bothering you and you...can't do anything about that, but I want you to avoid him."

"..."

"Did you hear me Mia?" Taehyung asked cautiously, his words barely audible but Mia could feel his breath in her ears as their naked bodies were coiled together. "At all cost."

"At all cost..." Mia understood and nodded.

Surprisingly, Mia was not as pained by his suggestion as she had been when she first struck the deal with him. She wondered if it was because she didn't...love Mark anymore. If Taehyung's requests was easier because Taehyung held a bigger part of her heart now.

"Promise me, Mia. Promise me..."

"Taehyung..." Mia called out as she felt his enveloped body around her.

"Mia promise me."

"Okay." Mia nodded and looked at her hands as her body got more comfortable in Taehyung's arms.

They stayed together quietly, without speaking anymore words. They kept quiet, letting the silence speak for itself. Their journey together had been turbulent, but it had become what it was now.

Taehyung could not deny it.

Neither could Mia.

Mia gently rubbed the arms that held her, allowing her hands to do what it wanted to the male's skin. Nothing was burning her, not even her mind. She was a t peace as she touched the male.

Truthfully Mia had never known that she could be so accepted and comfortable with a male but here she was in Taehyung's bed, in his arms, at his place, contemplating her feelings for him.

Perhaps...it was time, Mia thought. It was time for the two of them to lay down each other's laws.

Mia wanted to keep thinking more serious thoughts. She wanted to, but natural body functions were blocking her from doing that. She really had to use the bathroom. She had not planned on ruining the mood but she really had to go and pee.

"Don't leave." Taehyung stopped her when she tried to wiggle out of his arms.

"I'm not leaving." Mia softly said, taking comfort in his arms.

"Yes—yes, you are. You're trying to leave right now." He didn't want to feel empty. He didn't want that, not anymore. All he wanted was for her to be forever in his arms.

"Here. I'm here." Taehyung did not seem to understand and Mia did not understand why he kept speaking as if she had already decided on leaving.

"Then why are you trying to leave me?" Taehyung sounded almost resentful and Mia could not deny that it hurt to know that she was not trusted by him.

"Taehyung, I have to go to the bathroom. That's it." She spoke calmly.

"No, you'll go back to him..." Mia could not say anything when Taehyung talked about him.

"Then test me." Mia sighed as the desire to pee grew stronger.

"What?" He tightened around her once more but Mia really needs to go to the bathroom.

"Test me, right now. I'll go to the bathroom, and I'll come back. To you." Mia meant it. One hundred percent. Though she could not deny the urge to not come back.

"Mia...don't test me." Taehyung growled as he felt her words only bitterly hurt him. He could not feel the sincerity. Promises...were mainly empty, they held no weight. Promises...were meant to be broken.

"I'm not. I'm asking you to test me." Mia could feel that something more was causing Taehyung to be like this. "I haven't run away. I'm here—Taehyung aren't I here right now? I'm not with Layla or Jimin, or Jungkook. Taehyung I'm here with you—not Mark. Please, can't you trust me to come back to you?" Mia's voice broke.
She pushed him away and stood up from the bed and on her feet.

She was getting frustrated. She had a choice, but she wasn't ready. She would not allow herself to voice out her secret so soon to Taehyung. Her messed up sense of pride would not allow herself to lose so easily.

On her feet, turning to Taehyung, who lifted up with a solemn face, Mia glared before pointing to him.

"I'm going to the bathroom. And you're going to lay here like a good boy till I come back!" Mia turned around, anger fueling her. She stomped her way to the bathroom, her body barely coverd by the his shirt.

"Mia..." at this point, Taehyung was awaken from his nervous state. Something very rare for him because nervousness of losing something was not something he had experienced in his life—by his choice. Softly, his voice audible to no one, he apologized, "I'm sorry."

He sat in bed, his eyes on his hands. The hands that had held a woman so dearly, he wondered how someone had gotten so precious to him. How had he so easily allowed someone to enter his heart. It didn't make sense.

Then again, Taehyung knew it was too late. Everyone knew—they had known before him that Mia was someone more important. She wasn't someone that he was going to let go so easily.

Taehyung had two choices. He could go back to his life, and lose what he had gained with Mia or he could feign ignorance and live as he was as now—with Mia by his side. He woul dof course have to deal with the unfortunate circumstances of knowing all these new emotions...

Only when Mia returned from the bathroom did Taehyung make his decision, the sounds of the water flushing down the toilet filling his ears alerting him he had to make a choice.

Seeing Mia though, there was no need worry no more. Like Mia had said, she was here with him. And Mia had said nothing much, but Taehyung knew, Mia had also made her decision.

Then without a thought, without worrying, he spoke the words that—whether or not Mia was ready for—that would make Mia his destiny.

Because fate had never dealt with Taehyung Kim.
