It's me again God,
David spent some time in the wilderness of Judah and while he was there, he sought out God. He made it a priority, early each day, to talk or sing before You. This Psalm captures his fervent desire, his thirst for time with You. Lord as I read this Psalm today, I feel that I am in a similar place, a 'dry and thirsty land', not literally but I live in a society that is so in need of You and Your living water! This is my psalm of praise to You:
"O God, You are my God;
Early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You;
My flesh longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land
Where there is no water.So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory.
Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips shall praise You.Thus I will bless You while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name.
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness,
And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.When I remember You on my bed,
I meditate on You in the night watches.
Because You have been my help,
Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.
My soul follows close behind You;
Your right hand upholds me.
Psalms 63:1- 8 NKJVThank You God for Your Presence with me always. Thank You for being my help and for allowing me to rest in the 'shadow of Your wings'. Thank You for holding me up through every situation I have found myself in. Thank You for the countless blessings I have received. ........................... Your love is so precious to me!
'And my mouth shall praise You, with joyful lips'!
Amen.(Esther Mui has put the first five verses of this Psalm to music. Have a listen - just search for 'Esther Mui Psalm 63' on YouTube. God bless you as you lift your voice and hands to Him in praise today!)
