It's me again God,

Thank You for Your amazing Word which I have the privilege of opening every day. There are new and exciting things for me to learn every time I read but there are also particular things that are repeated over and over. This is no mistake! Repetition is a great learning tool and so today I am focusing on some very short verses with important messages which are found in Your Word:

"Rejoice always,"
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Now that surely is an easy verse to commit to memory but it's much easier to say than actually do! Lord I am aware that I can easily slip into a 'complaining always' mode! This is not Your plan for my life but clearly I am called to rejoice, to feel or show great joy or delight. There are over 200 references to rejoicing in Your Word so I know it is important!

The exciting thing is that there are plenty of good reasons for me to feel joyful. I am constantly blessed with every breath I take! Thank You for this precious time with You. I am so grateful that You hear me when I pray, You love me and You gave Your only Son to die in my place so I could spend eternity with You!

"But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful."
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭68:3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Jesus has made it possible for me to be righteous so yes, I will rejoice before You my God! Father, You see me just as if I had never sinned because Jesus' blood covers all my sins! Your amazing grace brings a smile to my face. As I look to the Cross and consider all You have done for me, I am filled with joy! I will rejoice always!

"pray continually,"
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This other short verse, directs me to be in constant communication with You throughout the day and that is exactly what I intend to do today. I am keeping the conversation going!

There will be plenty of things to talk to You about because I will:

"give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Even if I find myself in a circumstance that I would rather not be in —I will rejoice always, pray continually and give thanks! I trust You to lead me and guide me through every moment of this day as I receive Your abundant blessings,

In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
