It's me again God,
Thank You for giving me life so many years ago and for sustaining me each day since my birth! Each beat of my heart, each breath I take, is a wonderful gift from You —my life is in Your hands:
"In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind."
Job 12:10 NIV
Thank You for wanting more than just physical life for me. Your purposes were always toward a close relationship with You and yet this was severed because of sin. I'm so thankful that You had a plan to restore life to us all:
"For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God's wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. Yes, Adam's one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ's one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone."
Romans 5:17-18 NLT
Thank You Jesus for dying on the cross and rising from the dead for me, so that I could be in a right relationship with the Father! Jesus You brought me new life now but also for all eternity:
"And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life."
1 John 5:11-12 NIV
Jesus, I am so thankful that I have You as my Lord and Saviour! My life has never been the same since I made the decision to become a Christian but I just had no idea how amazing it would be to have this new kind of life! So many people search for ways to experience life to the full and in this country, 'lifestyle' programs on TV have become so prevalent. However You have shown me that it doesn't matter how many holidays a person goes on, how many thrilling experiences they have had, how well they cook or how great their house and garden looks, they will never truly be satisfied until they meet You, the source of all life! Thank You for coming Jesus, so I could live this incredible life:
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
John 10:10 NIV
I am excited at the thought of the coming day because You are with me! I don't know what You have planned for the rest of my life here in this place You created but I do want to make the most of it!
"Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes."
James 4:14 NIV
Lord I know this life will pass quickly but I'm so glad that the best is yet to come —eternal life with You forever!
"I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand."
John 10:28 NIV
Today I will live my life in the light of Eternity, thankful for each breath —determined to serve You faithfully —making the most of this life and looking forward to the life that is to come!
