It's me again God,
Thank You for all of Your goodness toward me! Thank You for my life and for the way You know me so well. David wrote a Psalm of praise about this very thing. Help me in these moments as I read Your Word to see You and be able to join with David as he considers how amazing You are!

"O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I'm far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night— but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you.

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed."
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139:1-16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I love how David says You 'knit me together in my mother's womb'. Your part in my being here is huge! I also thank You for my mother and that she carried me for nine months as I grew inside of her. Thank You for all the sacrifices she made to ensure I had everything I needed in order to grow and mature to adulthood. Thank You for her love. It's amazing to think that even though I was conceived before ultrasounds, You saw me being formed, You watched me every day. You knew every moment of my life before I had even breathed my first breath!

Thank You for watching over each of my children since the very beginning. It brings me great comfort to know that You know all about them and see their coming and going. Lord bless them and protect them. May their desire be to know You and serve You all of their days.

Lord please bless those who find this day painful, whether they have lost their mother or been estranged from her, whether they have lost a child or not been able to be a mother. May they find hope in knowing You and drawing close to the One who loves them. Place Your hand of blessing on them all today and comfort them with Your strength.
In Jesus's Name,
Amen.
