141. You Won't Let Me Down

It's me again God,

Waking to a new day, I am overwhelmed as I consider Your faithfulness to me! You always keep Your Word and this is a rare thing as I live in an imperfect world where promises are often broken, people let me down and disappointment, pain and sadness follow.

Again and again, You show me that You are true to Your Word. I want to spend this next week just remembering, rejoicing in, claiming and declaring some of Your promises but first I want to be reminded of how You keep Your promises:

"Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments."
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Lord it is so special to remember that You don't go back on Your promises! You keep Your covenant of love! I see the examples of many great men and women of the Bible who testified to this:

""You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed."
‭‭Joshua‬ ‭23:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Sometimes I will have to wait to see Your promises fulfilled but I know Your timing is perfect! You know what is best for me! Help me to just keep on seeking You and trusting as I wait:

"Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you."
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭9:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Lord help me to get to know You more each day as I spend time with You. Thank You that You never forsake me when I seek You! Your compassions never fail to bless me because of Your great love for me:

"Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.""
‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3:21-24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank You that each new morning, I can expect to see Your compassion! Today I am looking for all the ways I see evidence of Your loving compassion toward me. I don't want to miss out on being thankful that You keep Your Word! Thank You that from Old Testament to New, the same message is found:

"For no word from God will ever fail.""
‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:37‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Lord I thank You that You are with me while I wait to see this and You faithfully strengthen and protect me:

"But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one."
‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3:3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

One day all will be revealed! I joyfully await that blessed day:

"Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the nations. Who will not fear you, Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.""
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭15:3-4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

So with confidence, I begin my week of remembering, rejoicing in, claiming and declaring the promises You have made to me. As I walk into this new day, I will take great delight in You. I commit my way to You, trusting You each moment. Thank You for this precious promise:

"Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this:"
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭37:4-5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank You Lord that You know the desires of my heart —even the ones I have never spoken or could ever put into words! What a wonderful day is ahead of me as I walk with You on the next day of my life journey!

"For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God."
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank You Jesus that because You came and died for me, all of the Father's promises are YES and so I give all glory to Your Name as I say—
AMEN!
