It's me again God,
How wonderful it is to stop and talk to the One who existed from the beginning. Thank You that when I open Your Word, I can read eyewitness accounts from those who walked with You. Thank You for John's letters that I can study and find out more about You!
"We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life. This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was revealed to us. We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy." 1 John 1:1-4 NLT
Jesus, it is so amazing to think about the fact that You really were there at the beginning of the world with the Father and Holy Spirit and then You also came to live here on earth as a man for 33 years! You are at the right hand of the Father right now, interceding for me!
"Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us."
Romans 8:34 NIV
Thank You for the eyewitnesses like John who knew You during this time and wrote things down so that we could know more about You. John heard You, saw You and touched You, declaring that You are the Word of Life! Indeed Your Word brought forth all life on earth and You are the Way, the Truth, the Life!
"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 NIV
Your death and resurrection means that You are Eternal Life too!
""Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." John 5:24 NIV
How precious it is that we can have fellowship with brothers and sisters everywhere as we have fellowship with You Father, Son and Spirit! We are truly blessed to be able to share in the joy of knowing You!
"I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete."
John 15:11 NIV
Bless us today as we get involved in the cares and concerns of everyday life to remember to put things in perspective by reflecting on who You are. Thank You for giving me life in the beginning and showing me the way to receive eternal life.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
