50. Comfort & Confidence

It's me again God,

I'm so thankful to be able to come and spend time with You each day but I have to admit, there are times when I just don't know what to say to You. Some situations come along and they can leave me speechless, even wondering how I will move forward. At these times, I am so thankful for Your Holy Spirit within me - the Comforter. I am thankful for Your Word to me regarding this, through the apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans:

"In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit intercedes [before God] on behalf of God's people in accordance with God's will."
‭‭ROMANS‬ ‭8:26-27‬ ‭AMP‬‬

This is so reassuring Lord! Thank You that I am covered! Reading on, Paul says:

"And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose."
‭‭ROMANS‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Thank You God for calling me and for the confidence I can have each day that You want what is best for me. You see my life from beginning to end. I long to be fulfilling Your purposes as I live each day. Thank You that even though I slip up, You are still able to cause all things to work together for good.

I will keep my eyes on You - I love You so much and am so blessed to be able to pray in Jesus' Name,

(This whole chapter of Romans is so wonderful! Have a read through. I chose the Amplified version today as I felt it gave the greatest clarity. I will probably bring you another devotional from this chapter soon!)
