It's me again God,
I love this time when I can come to sit at Your feet and learn from You. I acknowledge that I still have so much to know about You and I long to do Your will each day. I am so blessed to be able to come and open Your Word again and I humbly ask for wisdom and direction as I read from this letter that Paul wrote to the church at Thessalonica:
"For God has not destined us to experience wrath but to possess salvation through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. He gave his life for us so that we may share in resurrection life in union with him—whether we're awake or asleep. Because of this, encourage the hearts of your fellow believers and support one another, just as you have already been doing."
1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 TPTA lot of people get caught up in wondering what their destiny is regarding a range of life experiences but here is the most vital part of our destiny —to possess salvation through our Lord Jesus! Nothing could be better! Thank You Jesus that You left heaven to come here and give Your life to purchase our salvation.
Father, it was clearly never Your intention for Your people to be destined to experience wrath but because sin entered the world in the Garden of Eden, we were very much in need of a Saviour. Thank You so much for sending Jesus! I am so thankful to know that because He died on the Cross, my sins are forgiven and I'm able to be in relationship with You! Thank You that You see me as being perfect —just as Jesus is perfect.
Help me to remember as I go through this day that I am not under condemnation!
"So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One."
Romans 8:1 TPTThank You that You chose me and called me to receive this amazing gift of resurrection life that I share with You. I cannot imagine any better gift and pray that You will equip me to share it with the people I meet today. Thank You that I am forever joined in life-union with You Jesus.
Father, bless my fellow believers today with great peace as they consider again the incredible fulfilment of our destiny in Christ.
"Having determined our destiny ahead of time, he called us to himself and transferred his perfect righteousness to everyone he called. And those who possess his perfect righteousness he co-glorified with his Son!"
Romans 8:30 TPTIn Jesus' precious Name,
Amen.
