6. The Lord's Prayer

It's me again God,

I enjoyed Your creation today as I spent time working in the garden. It was such a beautiful day and it was so great to be able to work with so many different types of plants. Your creativity goes far beyond my imagination! I praise You for all You have made and for the way You send the rain at just the right time and make the sun shine so everything can grow.

Thank You for the new translations of the Bible. It was good to read the Lord's Prayer in the New Passion Translation this evening:

'Our Father, dwelling in the heavenly realms, may the glory of your name be the center on which our lives turn. Manifest your kingdom realm, and cause your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is fulfilled in heaven. We acknowledge you as our Provider of all we need each day. Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves release forgiveness to those who have wronged us. Rescue us every time we face tribulation and set us free from evil. For you are the King who rules with power and glory forever. Amen.'" ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:9-13‬ ‭TPT‬‬

It really helped to read this and make it my prayer. I especially liked the encouragement to pray that 'the glory of your name be the center on which our lives turn.' This kind of was what I was talking to You about last night. I really need to be centred on the glory of Your name and let everything else come second. Please help me with this!

Thank You so much for everything You have provided for me - the list is so long! Help me to 'release forgiveness' to those who have wronged me. May I be just like You, forgiving so freely.

I'm looking forward to reading more now - I want to know more about you!
