It's me again God,
My wonderful, loving Heavenly Father, I am full of joy as I contemplate the riches of Your glorious inheritance which You have lavished on all who believe:
"Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. God's purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God. And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God's guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him."
Ephesians 1:11-14 NLT
Sometimes our best made plans fall apart and never come to fruition but here in Paul's letter to the Ephesians, he talks about the fact that You make everything work out according to Your plan! Paul reminds us that Your chosen people, the Jews were first to bring You praise and now the Gentiles have heard the Good News and have also believed. Thank You God for including us all in receiving this marvellous inheritance!
Lord it is so exciting to have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit and to know that You identify us as Your own! We belong to You Lord! There is nothing so special as knowing we belong but there is more! We read that Your Holy Spirit is a guarantee of our future inheritance in Heaven! Lord this is so amazing, it makes my heart want to praise You! Thank You for purchasing us to be Your own people with the precious blood of Your Son Jesus! Thank You that Your Holy Spirit resides: in all who believe that Jesus died and rose again, have repented of their sin and have chosen to trust You as their Lord and Saviour!
Letting the blessing of this truth soak deep in my heart,
