It's me again God,

I spent some time in the garden today, planting bulbs ready for spring. It always amazes me when I see the rather ordinary bulbs and think about their amazing potential to spring to life and become something of beauty, especially given the fact they are buried in the ground as though dead and forgotten!

Transformation seems to be Your speciality! You do it again and again in nature but there's a similar transformation that happens with Your people too. Yesterday as I read Your Word, I was reminded of this and I needed to revisit it today:

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank You that I don't have to worry about how my mind will be renewed. Your Holy Spirit guides me and directs my paths so I know what You desire for my life. My own efforts are not needed, just as the bulb that lays in the ground doesn't have to 'do' anything. It's all about what is inside and for me, it's the Holy Spirit. As the Master Gardener, at just the right time, You will feed me with Your Word, give me life giving water from the well of Your goodness that never runs dry, and allow me to see the Son who brings life and light to all!

Lord I look forward to seeing the growth of my bulbs in a few months time. I pray that You will be blessed as You see the growth in me as I allow You to bring about an even more amazing transformation and release the potential within!

"And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

In Jesus' Name - the Name above all names!
Amen.
