It's me again God,
Yesterday it was so great to call on Your Name as I went about my day. Just knowing I could talk to You in an intimate way and say 'Abba Father' was so good! I was able to call on Your authority as I remembered You are 'Adonai' and appreciate Your power over all You have created 'Elohim', while I watched the wind and rain. Today I want to consider some more aspects of Your character as I look again to Your Names.
Thank You that You are 'Yahweh', the LORD, meaning to be or to exist. I praise You because You have always been there, before anything was created and You are the source of all life for everything and everyone else.
"Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God."
Psalm 90:2 NIV
This name is from the Hebrew word for "I AM", to be or to exist. Moses was afraid when he was given the task of leading Your people to freedom but You gave him confidence to go in Your Name :
"God said to Moses, " I AM who I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ' I AM has sent me to you.' ""

Thank You for always being present and accessible when I call on You for deliverance, forgiveness, and guidance.
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41:10 NIV
You are 'El Shaddai', the Almighty God —the All Sufficient One! When Abraham was 99 years old, You appeared to him and said:
" "I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless. Then I will make my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.""
Genesis 17:1-2 NIV
El Shaddai is the name You used when You entered into a covenant relationship with Your people and certainly we see this with Abraham as You began to work through him and his descendants as Your special people. El Shaddai, You are all powerful —nothing is impossible for You! Even though Abraham and Sarah were well past the age for childbearing, You promised them a son and You fulfilled that promise because You are God Almighty! It's so good to know that You keep all of Your promises!
Thank You that You are also 'El Roi', meaning "The God Who Sees". This name shows me the great kindness and care You have for me. Thank You for chasing after me and following me with goodness.
"Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
Psalm 23:6 NIV
You see me in every situation, in good times and difficult times. You know when I am feeling lonely, rejected, lost and unloved. Hagar called out to You with this name when she had run away into the desert after being hurt and betrayed. You were with her and surrounded her with Your care.
"She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: "You are the God who sees me," for she said, "I have now seen the One who sees me.""
Genesis 16:13 NIV
Thank You that this name reminds me that You are always close and You see me even when no one else does. Thank You for caring for me!
Yahweh, I am so blessed to know You, the ever present, eternal God! You are El Shaddai the almighty, all sufficient God and El Roi, the God who sees and cares. I just love to be in Your presence and to know that whatever happens today, You are there with me, Your grace is sufficient in every situation and You see me and care for me.
