It's me again God,

I praise You and thank You for loving me so much that You sent Your Son Jesus into the world.  Already I am seeing signs of Christmas coming, that time when we remember Jesus' birth. It's a big event and for Christians it's a time to rejoice in Your most perfect gift to us!  Sadly though, our celebrating has become more focussed on feasting with family and friends and a ridiculous level of over indulging when it comes to gift giving.  Very little of the day is actually given to remembering the blessings we have because Jesus came. I am getting in early, determined to take hold of every blessing I have in Jesus!

Hundreds of years before Jesus came, You gave Word to the prophet Isaiah of His coming and in these verses I can see one of the reasons He came:

"You will open the eyes of the blind.
You will free the captives from prison,
releasing those who sit in dark dungeons."
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭42:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Thank You Jesus for coming to set me free! The strange thing is that sometimes I don't live like I am free. I have the tendency to return to the darkness of prison instead of enjoying everything You have planned for me. The enemy tends to point me to my weaknesses and past sins, trying to make me feel inadequate, to keep me in chains. However, today I declare the truth of the Word:

""Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses."
‭‭Acts‬ ‭13:38-39‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I believe and have been set free from every sin, past, present and future!

"Let me be clear, the Anointed One has set us free—not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We must always cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past."
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Thank You for setting me free completely! I will cherish this truth today and not return to my prison cell! Thank You that freedom is my calling and my freedom has purpose:

"For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don't use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love."
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Thank You that I am not alone as I serve. Thank You for giving me Your Spirit:

"For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

May I be blessed today as I am constantly reminded by Your Spirit in me that I am free,

Because Jesus came,
Amen.
