We walked in silence before she looked around and dropped to the ground. I follow her, dropping into a crouch and drawing a blade, watching the area wearily.

A light and musical laugh snapped me out of my zone and I look at her. She shakes her head and explained "Everything is ok! I just wanted a secret place to talk."

I nod hesitantly but place my knife back in its place and relaxed at I flopped into my back-hind.

I crack my knuckles as I wait for her to talk. Though I don't have to wait long as she opened her mouth but closed it. I look over to her and tilt my head.

Finally, she seemed to get over her stage fright as she listed questions, "How old are you? How'd you find the group? Where are your family? Also, what are you?"

I crack my back, feeling my skin stretch against my building muscle before answering her easily "I'm fourteen, I was helping my mama in the hospital where she worked where she died early on but I ended up helping Rick out of his coma."

With the last question, I forced a fake laugh and nervously answered "Human? Like you?"

She gives me a look but answered "No I'm just not into sex I guess, I had a boyfriend before his mom broke us up. But he wasn't into sex either."

She nodded but turned to me while shimmying her legs under her, she seemed to grow serious so I looked up too, and peered at her "What happened to you?"

I sigh and lay flat on the ground as I look up at the sky. She immediately started to babble but I hold my hand up and simply ask "I don't really feel comfortable with telling people what happened and I know what your father and other people in the ground from the first night saw my scars on my arms and Shit, but not my back."

I shift into my elbow and give her a long look saying "So please, don't bring it up."

She nods and flopped next to me sighing "How the hell are you so mature?"

I scoff and point out a cloud that looked like a dog, saying "Oh! There's a dog! Ah- but I'm not really. I'm just good at pretending. My boyfriend was, I'm just doing what my princess would do. I have to if I want to be treated like an adult."

She folds her arms behind her head as she looked up at the sky "Don't discredit yourself. You are mature, more mature than my little sister, Beth, she's the blonde."

I shrugged not really caring that she can't see the motion but reply "Yeah, I saw her. I think that it's good that she's not like me, you wouldn't know her. If you saw me before the world went to hell and me know you'd be surprised. I was tough before but now I'm hard."

I sigh and admit "I don't know how to explain it."

She chuckles and leans up, looking down at my saying "I understand, I was going to college, I didn't even really want to shoot guns or smash heads but now I don't even think twice."

I sit up and jump to my feet, offering my hand to her but cringe as I side pulls at my stitches.

She laughs at my face, pushing me slightly but started at the well where she told my group to go.

I grimace down the well as the smell reached me. That's gross.

I look up and explain "Looks like we've got us a swimmer."

Maggie looked down after me but looked back up at me asking "How long you think it has been down there?"

I shrug honestly and guess "Long enough to grow gills."
