I am reading up on what would happen with the amount of trauma lucy is going through and I realized I got something wrong.
The kind of dissociation disorder that I am writing it as alike in many ways but for the sake of getting Lucy to stay awake for the book- it would have been more symbolic for her alters to be different ages of her- but as I read further - I've been reading up on this for maybe half a year, but mostly the most talked about. DID. Dissociation identity disorder. But I wanted to focus on OSDD- other specified dissociation disorder.
In OSDD, there are many types -again- but I wanted to focus on type one. Or more specifically, OSDD 1b.
It is very much like DID minus the memory gaps. I wanted it to be 1a in the way that it is different ages of the host but that includes memories being gone. While 1b has distinctive alters with their own memories but no memories loss.
So I will be going back and rewriting. I have the alters that will show up.
I would leave it but I don't want to misinterpret this disorder that is still coming out of the closet and into the light.
While I am not going into full detail here, I have read up and have many of my pages have been filled with notes so I don't misinterpret the disorders.
And I hope it doesn't look like I'm trying to become a bad fan fic, but with the trauma that Lucy has experience as a child, no less with all that has happened when the apocalypse occurred. She never learned how to cope with what happened other than pushing it away and ignoring it.
Again, I am not trying to exploit the disorder but as I read more and more, Lucy fits the criteria.
People with this disorder is real and have suffered from real trauma and if I get it wrong, please, I would love it fix it. They deserve proper recognition without people judging.
If people want to gather their own knowledge, there is many systems on YouTube and they have links.
So, I will take the time to go back quickly, fix a few things and post the next ep on time.
