I lean against my tower as Michonne, Daryl, and Glenn move cars and such in front of the gate. The walkers successfully scared away with a vile of my blood.

I rub the site and clench my teeth together. Something is happening behind the scenes with Rick and it doesn't bode well for anyone.

If he's willing to make a deal with someone who is like the governor, who knows what he's willing to do for the 'good of the group'.

Daryl wipes the sweat off his forehead as Rick heads down to them.

Daryl stops by me making Rick follow if he wanted to talk.

After a second of staring Daryl nods subtly and Rick starts the conversation with a not so subtle look at me that I promptly tense at "They try to drive up to the gate again, maybe some blown tires will stop them."

He pauses and I take a step closer to Daryl, Ricks eyes following my actions "That's a good idea."

Daryl tenses and I furrow my brow, murmuring softly, the tension in my chest not allowing my voice to come out any louder "It was Michonne's."

Daryl glances down at me and I raise a brow, what the hell is happening? He shakes his head and speaks to Rick who is studiously watching us, his eyes going downcast "We don't have to win. We just have to make sure getting at us more trouble than it's worth."

Daryl's jaw locks as he eyes Rick. The man holding the contact. The tension growing tenfold every second they continue to hold the silence.

I huff and break it roughly "What the hell is going on? What was discussed with the governor?"

Rick's eyes snap to me and I glare, he told us we were going to war, now he's doing something behind the group's back. I shake my head and snark under my breath "Whatever you have planned isnt worth breaking the trust if the damn group Rick! What on Earth is going on?"

Daryl shifts and I glance at him, finding him staring at Rick.

Finally, Rick sighs "He wants Michonne. That's-"

"That's bullshit."

I curse the words the moment they came out but it's too late to snatch them back. Rick raises a brow and I shake my head, turning around and entering the tower. The words on the other side muffled.

I sit on the stairs and listen as the words grow loud but quickly goes away.

If he wants Michonne then it won't be the only thing he wants. Or should I say who he wants?

I think it's time to make myself scarce for the next few days.

I stare out to the field as people finish up work, my legs swinging freely in the air, the sun sinking into the tree line.

As much as I hate the prison you can't dispute the view is something out of a fairy tale.

Yellows and orange mixing with the night purples and pinks. I sigh and hear the clash of the door closing.

For more harm coming to my wrapped ribs, I don't turnaround as I speak loud enough for Daryl to hear "I'm not feeling good about this deal, Dare, I think something is up."

When no one responds I shift around only to see metal, then nothing.

'Wake up.'

I groan and crack my eyes, the light blinding me as my wrists get yanked. Sharp edges cutting in.
